I was heading to Carmel In. to help my Dad with breakfast and lunch, he can't really feed himself anymore, and a deer ran out in front of me (5:15 AM). Not going to make it to Carmel today, my sister is covering for me. I took it on the highway some this morning and it is not pulling or anything so I think I can drive it back and forth until I get it fixed.

If only my wife and kid liked venison........I don't hunt any more since I am the only one who will eat venison in my family.

I had some of my family that hated both the idea of eating deer and the taste of steaks..
But no way I'd quit bowhunting! :quickdraw:
so I started taking only the tenderloins out for steaks.. then I grind all the rest up into burger meat. (It's like buying a sirloin and asking them to grind into hamburg) now I got my whole family going through 2 or 3 deer each year.

I have tried to sneak it by them but they always know it is not beef, even when I can't tell.

Man that sucks. My wife recently hit one in her Camry XLE. The only good part was I was growing tired of cleaning her headlights since they kept yellowing. BAM.... new headlights! Lol.

No they didn't. It was more of a glancing blow not really a direct hit. I was going about 50 mph when it happened so it could have been a lot worse.

I have had cardboard sitting under the truck all day and no drips. Looks like I got pretty lucky!

The good news is no one was hurt, & a new plate bumper will make it like new again.

Are you kidding? You won the lottery. That's the perfect impact for getting a new plate bumper.
