For those of you with a Softopper, can you still mount two bikes in the bed of the truck using fork mounts attached to the bed header rail track? This question would be for the topper in the up and down position. I am concerned that with two bikes mounted side by side they would be too tall and or too wide with the topper up. And with the topper down I'm concerned I can't get the forks into the mount with all the topper material bunched up against the cab.

Any help or pictures from those in the know would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Stock....ish
I was thinking of that but I decided to get the over the bed mount instead. No way of fitting bikes on the rails with it up. Didn't attempt with it down

So I got a killer deal on a hard shell and need to sell my softopper... anyone interested please let me know. I'd like this to go to a good home and hopefully stay within the TW community!

Someone will snatch it up quick. I did the exact opposite move as you and am so glad to be rid of the hard shell

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. Mine came off a 2011 truck and is perfect in every way with just a little discoloration of the rear window. I also got the protective bag that it folds into as well as the mesh rear window. If you wanted a hard shell, why didn't you get it in the first place? That $875 would pay for a huge chunk of a hard shell!

I drilled the pop rivet out of the aluminium support, and then used the supplied stainless steel metal screw to re-attach the new strap. Took me about 10 minutes...very easy.

1st gen verses 3rd gen price differences I guess... you can go on their site now and price them with all the add ons and that's what it comes out to...
