My Tacoma is 2014, 2WD, auto, been a sweetheart. Wife's Sienna is 2013. No projected heavy loads but odo. is in the 35,000 area for both. No detectable deterioration to ride, but I know the day is coming to replace shocks & tires. Any recomendations for shocks so I can shop prices?
We are both retired, but enjoy a good drive with safe cars. Anyone? Anyone?

    Wrong forum.

Go to tech or suspension and do a search.

    K & N filter, 275 70 17 Cooper AT3, OME Nitrocharger shocks, 884 Springs, Dakar leafs.
I always recommend and Old man emu lift if want to upgrade the suspension...
884 springs and remove one leaf in back if you won't have a load or tow will give you 2" / 2.5" lift all around...
If you haul anything or off road you need to get rid of the stock leafs and up grade the front springs, if not just replace the shocks...

If you don't want to lift it I would think the bilstiens are what people are using....
If your're not off roading or hauling I would think the stock shocks will be good for a while and I would wait until they are bad...

Bilstein 5100s, they are a upgrade even over the stock Bilsteins on the TRDs and are relatively cheap.

Just basing my comment on personal experience, felt the ride comfort was better with the 5100s.

FWIW, probably will get some disagreement, but since I got them on a Rock Auto close out for $12 a pop, I installed a set of KYB Excel G shocks in the back. I've got a few hundred miles on them, installed after the spring recall so I had a comparison to the 'factory' Bilsteins on my TRD. I would say they are pretty similar to the original ride and certainly a huge improvement over the old ride with 75,000 miles on the originals. Pretty smooth but firm ride.

I'm also looking to replace my shocks. 2014, reg cab, RWD. Suspension is stock; not lowered or lifted. I'm looking for firm ride over comfort. I do not want any after-bounce after hitting a dip or bump. I have had Edlebrock IAS shocks on another truck. Great shocks, but they aren't made anymore.

Everyone seems to like the 5100s? But those are for lifted trucks? And off-road? Mine is a street truck. How about the 4600 Heavy Duty (B6)? Or Rancho RS5000? Anyone know which will give me the firmer ride? Any other suggestions?
