One of my plate lights and one map lights did the intermittent flicker. After a while, the flickering element just went dead. My guess is that the heat causes the solder to melt and vibration eventually causes one of the LED elements to fail. It's not a sealed unit, and I'm wondering if solder is what holds it together. I replaced the plate lights with a different design directional light and used a spare unit for my failed map light. If they go out again, I will try a different LED type.

We've had a about a 15-20% feedback or so of the plate lights flickering, which is why we don't include them specifically in the kits anymore. However, haven't had much feedback at all of cab lights flickering from the hundreds of kits we've sold from back in Oct of 2014 when the thread was started. Doesn't mean that we haven't had any, but no one has reported on the thread or messaged me about them, so I'm pretty confident in them for going on 2 years now. Every now and then we will have something get damaged in shipping. How long have you had your kit?

Shipments go out in batches whenever we have a lot of orders come in. The last batch of orders had quite a bit of people ordering, so if you were one of the first people to pay, usually about a 1-2 business days turn around before your order is shipped. After that, depending on how far you are from KY, usually takes a few days for your order to arrive postal. If you were a later payment, usually another 1-2 business days after your order is paid for the kit will go out. Your payment looks like it was made late Thursday evening so it will be shipped here in the next 1-2 business days.

I've had mine for probably a little under a year now? It's the reading lights that flicker - not sure if that is the plate light you're referring to or not?

No its not. Is it the whole light that's flickering in and out or an LED on the pod?

One of my plate lights has the intermittent flicker, appears to be one of the LEDs on the pod.

Have you had them for a little while? That's why we don't include them in our kits any longer is because those were the only ones causing some people troubles.

Did anyone ever figure out which fuse it is?

Edit: the dome light fuse is under the hood and it's a 7.5 labeled Dome

Hey guys I was in the middle of installing my leds. I have the dome and two vanity light on. And as I pulled out the reading lights I noticed that all of my interior lights went out. I'm not sure what the problem could be? Any of you guys have any idea? Maybe a fuse?

yeah fuse blew on mine when I tried the install. Just got a new one from AutoZone and going to try again this afternoon. So the best tips I've been told is don't push too hard when installing. Anything else?

yes I got the 7.5. AutoZone didn't have a single pack of the small version we need so I had to spend $5 on a multipack that had one single 7.5 and a bunch of others. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again

I've had them several months now, not sure how long the flickering has been going on.
