No, they are still slightly off-angle. Which is what I wanted. I could take a picture if you really wanted to see it. So what I'm doing now is leaving my ditch-bracket lights straight forward. With both of the D2's having the 'wide' pattern I'm hoping this will give me a good spread.

Took a picture to show the angle. Hopefully this helps. It's probably not as wide as most guys position ditch lights, but it works for me.

    These mounts rock.

    Agreed.

I might have to offer a flush option... If anyone wants I can do on special order at any time. Not sure if I will carry inventory just yet. We will see if more want these

I would really appreciate a picture of them turned on if you get a chance. How about the vertical aim - are they pointed up, down, or horizontal? I bet the wide angle of the Rigids will get me where I want to be and compensate for minor aim issues. Half the problem that I was having is that the CaliRaised pods only come in a spot beam - also only 18W. I think I'll try your set-up and use the CaliRaised pods for something else - rear facing maybe.

Do the orginal Apex mounting "hoops" have to come off for the Rigids to fit. Any additional details about how you modified your mounts would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I don't think I'll get to a 'light' picture tonight, but I will try soon and post.

From eyeballing the vertical position looks right on, but I'll post if that changes after I use them. But they're LED's, so it's not like position has to be too precise.

D2's are a lot brighter. Keep in mind that these are not hooked up to my fog light switch. Both sets of my D2's are on the same rocker switch. I would never run D2's on the street. I think the Cali Raised are good for street running.

Yes, the hoops will need to be absent to drill the holes. When Madman was first starting up I asked for a special order - unfinished and unwelded. But I won't speak for him now. I'm not sure if he wants to get into the habit of doing that.

    I am happy to supply!

I will also add a flush pod option like this for folks as it is easy to do. As of now I won't stock but will accept custom orders any time. Two week turnaround at the most is standard.

Here's a pic showing the angle of the mounts. Again, this is with the Apex plates and a Rigid angled flush-mount. I covered up the upper D2's so what you're seeing is just the lower 'fogs'.

I have the uppers pointed straight forward, so when uncovered I have a pretty nice spread.

This angle may be too off-center for normal street fogs though. imo.

    Updates!

For those concerned with the beams being centered. I will have a V2 of this mount coming out soon. Some people have expressed the desire for that and o have figured out how to get my mounts dialed in to this configuration. Others like the wider beams so I will still have those as well. More to come over the next couple weeks!

Also!!! New pods will be ready to ship in a week!!! @CaliRaisedLed killed it!!!

Ya sorry for the big delay on these. My truck theft took a lot of wind out of the R&D sails while I sorted that out and dealt with the drama. But we are back on track and I have a local TW member who will be meeting up hopefully this week to finalize designs with so I can get these moving and ready to sell!!!

Me too!!! I started befor but we ran out of time that day. So I have a good base to start from and know what I need to do. Will be a nice clean setup with some adjustment built in like my other mounts.

Who is ready for a killer deal and some new mounts!?

Yesterday @Nickel was super helpful so we could test a new 12-15 fog light idea I had. A few people had concerns about the beams not being more centered. I racked my brain on this issue for a little while and came up with a solution. This new mount allows for the LED pod to be mounted so that the beams shoot straight out instead of to the side a little bit. It also allowed me to center the pod in the mount face a little better. For most people they had no problems with the wider beam pattern but I think this fine tuning of the mounts will allow these mounts to work better for everyone of all tastes in the long run!

So the killer deal. I have two sets of 12-15 original version left in stock. Who wants them for 50% off the base price of the mount. They were $70 for the mounts originally, I will sell for $35 for just the mounts, $100 for mounts and 18W Apex Pods or $105 for Mounts and 18W Amber Apex pods. I only have two in stock and you can only order them through PM here on TW. My site shows them as sold out as of now.

For those who want the new version, they will be the same price as before, I just need time to build some inventory. I will be sold out for approx two weeks while I make a new updated batch and get them powder coated. If you are interested and want some please shoot me an email at chris@apexfabworks.com and I will add you to a backorder list of people to ship to once they are ready to go. I will take payment once they are completed.

And now for a few pics. Very similar to the previous version, but fine tuned and ready for action!

You can add me to the list for the new mounts. I bought a set of the old mounts during the Labor Day group buy. They look nice, but I'd rather have the pods pointing straight out. I assume that the new mounts will work with the Cali Raised 18 W Amber pods that I just bought from you. Also, just as a heads up, the mounts scraped up my paint a bit on both sides. I don't think this would have happened if the mounts were slightly smaller. Just my 2 cents.

Shoot me a PM and I will take care of you for a new set. Yes they work with the other pods and everything just like the V1's. Making them smaller is an option, but then you would have gaps between the mount and the bumper. It's a give and take thing. I'll look into them and see if there is a little room to adjust the drawing.

    Thanks again!!!
