Thinking about getting these Philips brand interior lights. But the package doesn't say they are error free.

Is anyone using these? If so, are you getting error message for 'bulb out'?

    Thanks!

I have a Putco LED dome light kit. I dont remember what I paid for it, but it was resonable. The workperfectly for 3+ years. And there is no indicator for 'bulb out' for interior lights.

Just looked at those on Amazon. Seems like a solid set. Slightly hesitant to drop $56 on it. But I did contact Putco to ask what their warranty is to see if I could justify the price...

I did like how 1 person in the review wrote that the rear dome still has the "dimming" effect as the stock incandescent. Have heard of many people using LEDs that say the rear dome flickers during what would be to dimming on/off part.

Mine still dims as the factory setting, if you do stair at it you can notice a slight flickering (as most LEDs are not intended to be dimable). But you have to be stairing at it to notice.. After a day or two it just seems normal.
    I'd gove them 5stars

No experience with those but I have been using leds from superbrightleds.com in my 05. They are a fraction of that cost too.

That do not throw bulb out code? Does the dome LED flicker upon door opening until it's at full power?

The dome light fades on and off just like the stock bulb. No codes for dome or map lights.

I have yet to see a car that has bulb out error messages for interior bulbs... bulb out messages are for exterior bulbs where you can't easily see that they're out.

Good point. I guess I was alerted to the notion because Philips on the package states they have a canbus piece sold separate to avoid the error. But perhaps that's just license plate & turn signal use...

I put the 43mm Phillips led in the dome and it works fine, had a little issue at first installing thing it was a dud but installed it with the power going to show it working in what position. I use the Sirius led I found on Amazon for my map lights and they are way brighter than the dome light.

I use Philips 168 (same base as 194) for my license and parking lights. Highly recommend. I'd used cheap Chinese junk before and they all flickered/died within weeks. The Philips bulbs have been solid for over a year, noting that there constantly on every time I turn my headlights on.

Also, when I bought mine, Amazon had a coupon for a couple bucks off the bulbs. Don't know how often they do those though.

I've used both of those. Philips actually makes a festoon that is slightly brighter than the one you posted. Also available on Amazon.

For the map lights, get the sylvania version of the 168/194. It's brighter than the Philips. Unbelievably bright for map lights.

They're all fine in our trucks. If they don't work, turn the bulb 180°. They are polarity sensitive. No codes throw.
