I did the rear today, pretty easy. Plan on doing the front and tc soon when I take off the skids and change the tranny fluid.

Projects like this do nothing for the function of the truck.

Bought this chrome honeycomb grill from @kingk0ng about 6 months ago. Rattlecan painted & clear coated it.

It's easy man...just time consuming. Get good masking tape. And use a really sharp x-acto knife to cut the paint before pulling off the tape. I learned the hard way and...just don't look too close next time you see my truck. Lmk if you need help.

my BAR complaint and investigation is done. Shop was deemed at fault but wont cough up any money. So the BAR found other paperwork and processes that were done incorrectly and will forever stay with the Manager and that store. Also leading to a further investigation as the paperwork led to some other "odd similarities" to my issue.

Either way i have a replacement from a friend so at least my shits not looking homeless anymore.

the owner and the Manager refused to offer any form of compensation, the BAR cant force them to do so. But the investigator said he informed the Manager and the owner that this could easily go to small claims court over something so simple and after reviewing your paperwork, i will fully back the customer. Having the BAR against you in a small claims court battle being an auto repair shop, does not look good.

    TLDR:

yelp review has already been left, with a few other customers hating on the same manager.

    Big O Tires in Vacaville.

Meanwhile I had to play rescue for our shop trailer. Always a risk going to the dump with blowing a tire.

yeah, I've had shitty experiences at Big O, and won't go there again. they broke a stud on my wife's Volvo, wouldn't do a thing about it.

I've since been going to the local family run Michelin branded tire dealer who's been in the business since the 1940s at the same site, THEY broke a stud on one of older cars, called, apologized that the car would take an extra hour, and fixed it without charge. You BET I'm recommending them, Lloyd's Tires in Santa Cruz.

Fucken big o...they got me for 300. My fault tho....they said my cam bolts were frozen....stupid me bought only the long bolt...no busings or cam tabs.....they replaced the bolts. That didnt fix my seized bushing issue.....again, my dumbass fault for thinking that a bolt would solve that issue. But they did the work without mentioning, " hey, u should replace it all "

Glad you got things sorted out. Kinda f'd up that after all that, the shop didn't at least try to make it right.

Big O is a part of the TBC corporation...try calling corporate (the number for TBC is 561-383-3100, Big O, 561-383-3000) and explain what happened along with the outcome.
