Gist of it: All rigs made it out on their own power, he popped a CV and a tire and some guys dinged driveshafts but otherwise sounds like a kickass trip!

^Pretty much. We came, we saw, we concurred. 16 hours total trail time. Of that we got backed up for 2 hours the first day due to a rollover of a truck in a different group in front of us. We also blew an hour at the top of observation point to bask in our victory and eat lunch.
I blew a CV and slashed a sidewall at the same time. Going up a line I had no business on...but fuck it. That's why I brought spares.
Absolutely nobody (out of 8 rigs) got any body damage. We all used the hell out of our armor, but that's what it's for.

Its a lot harder than people make it out to be. Definitely doable, obviously, but as I was dragging diffs and smashing into shit coming up Cadillac hill I was picturing how tough it'd have been in my Tacoma lol. Decent though! Nicely done!

Hope we can all get together for some wheeling at some point.

I drug my ass over that entire trail. Without a doubt I had the lowest truck and running fairly worn 33s. If my approach angle wasn't so amazing (thanks again @RelentlessFab), I would have been screwed. There was some times where I got the front skid on a rock and just slid over every one of my skids/sliders till I dropped down it. Fucking spring under was not my best friend either, but the obscene rear travel I had helped in a lot of spots.
Cadillac Hill was definitely a bit of a cluster fuck with our group. There was a bit of water in certain spots of the trail and I was last going up. So I had to deal with wet and muddy rocks the whole way up it. Sliding off the off-camber wet rocks towards the canyon made me pucker a few times. I definitely used the easy button in a few spots.

Definitely some pucker spots on Cadillac that pictures don't do justice.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't for sure. Toytec has them listed as different part numbers.

Did you guys notice an excessive presence of bees/wasp? When I went through we couldn't stop for more than 10 minutes without being swarmed! Everyone in my group got stung at least once. This was about a month ago

Meat bees I think. There was a lot but I don't think any of us got stung.

I run the rubicon annually. This is the first time the bees have been a problem. Otherwise here in town I haven't noticed much of a change in their population.

Yep, meat bees. I hang a piece of jerky off my CB whip to keep them occupied.

Is that like putting a head on a stake to warn the pillagers that you don't mess around?

Disclaimer: I've never really done this.

Need some help building a fence since getting the first 3 posts in has taken me a month the wife has requested that we move the process along a little faster. Using livestock grid framed in redwood for a 4ft fence in the front yard.

Anyone have a recommendation for a contractor?

Sounds like a good excuse for all of us assholes to show up at your house, dig some holes and drink beer to help our brotha with cancer out.

    Who else is in?
