Thanks to @Techoma and @scott96929 for the help with the soldering and materials (your builds are both amazing BTW). I swear I'm not completely inept when it comes to wrenching, soldering just isn't my thing...

Thanks for the offer, I think I might just order one from Amazon instead of borrowing one. I'm hardly ever in phoenix so it would be less hassle for all.

Alright guys. Got the truck finished up yesterday and never got around to updating this with pics and everything.

First off, huge thanks to @snowtank for letting us use his house for this. I really appreciate it flakes.

Second, huge thanks to @RPS1030 and @justlookin for helping me out all day, staying up late and heading back over Sunday morning to help me finish up. It would have been a ton harder without you guys.

Also, thanks to everyone for coming out! I wish I had more time to chat and help out, but I was pretty busy. Haha.

Now on to the good shit. :bananadance:

For those who don't know what happened or ended up not going, I gusseted my frame, new leaf pack, new shocks, new lower shock mounts, new upper shock mount/cross member and u bolt flip.

    Here's a before and after:

First things, bed came off and cut the exhaust right away. The bed made everything easier with it off. There's only 6 bolts holding it to the frame so it wasn't too complicated removing it. Cut the exhaust for clearance issues with the lift. @snowtank also gave me a new exhaust tip, so that will go on there soon.

U bolts off the old leaf pack, about to remove them.

    Cleaned up the spring perch.

Then came the new springs. These were a little bit of a pain as the axle moved a bit, but everything just needed to line up. Since I was changing the shocks, I also had to measure ride height, droop and stuff. IIRC stuff(or flat leafs) was about 11", ride height was about 16" and droop was about 21.5". Gives me around 10.5" of travel in the rear. Doesn't seem to bad for some all pro leafs and stock hangers. :dancingbacon:

Stock height with u bolt flip:
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

@RPS1030 Cutting leafs to be able to check full stuff, or flat leafs. :sawzall:

Trucks in the back yard around 1130. Plus about five or so trucks.
    [IMG][IMG]

My roommate Brett came along to help me out with welding. He has a tig welder and we weren't sure if @justlookin mig would penetrate the 3/16th frame gusset. Ended up using @snowtank dryer outlet for the 220v tig. Brett cleaning up one side of the frame. :welder:

    :bananadance::muscleflexing:

Those were the last pictures I have of the day. After that the day went pretty quick as we were doing a lot of measuring for where to place shock mounts.

@swalters Ended up painting my rear taillights. She was pretty surprised as I have previously told her I more than likely never do it. Decided it'd look good.
    upload_2016-9-26_17-13-24.jpg

Last picture of the day at about 1230 AM.
    upload_2016-9-26_17-14-8.jpg

I didn't get much pictures Sunday morning as I had to rush to finish welding in the shock mounts and holes in the frame gussets.

Some pictures on a dirt hill by the house.

    Passenger droop:

    upload_2016-9-26_17-25-26.jpg

    Driver side stuff:
Didn't have time for bumps, but the plan is to bolt some ruffstuff bumps and build a bump pad off the u bolt plate.
    upload_2016-9-26_17-28-29.jpg

He's all finished up. Everything put back together just in time.
    upload_2016-9-26_17-35-4.jpg

    Mmm....:jerkoff:
    upload_2016-9-26_17-36-47.jpg
IIRC there's 5.5" of shock showing. Right under half of the shock shaft. I believe there is about 1.5"-2" of shock shalf travel at bump and stuff.

So I had to leave the truck @snowtank to make it to my parents house. Ended up making it back later at night to pick up the truck. I had to see what stuff and droop looked like with my bed on. @swalters provided the light.

All in all there was a ton learned and good times had. It took approximately 20 hours from start to finish. 10/10 would do again. I haven't taken it offroad yet, but the on road driving manners are awesome. Drives straight, smooth and feels good.

    Once again, thanks again guys!

Awesome Aaron! Glad it came out well.

I think the tape is mine. Done worry about it, I've got 4-5 others that match.
