4" galvy is pretty sturdy. Only thing I would do is coat the part of the post that will be in the concrete in an extra durable paint or, preferably, epoxy. The longer you can prevent the steel from rusting, the better.

Or add Xypex admixture to your concrete AND paint the steels

Yeah, well, most people probably wouldn't scribe shit on a woodshed. But not you. Looks like it was a bit of an oddball framework differing at either side.

How do you access the stock showing through the screen under the gable? It looks pretty snug in there. Can you get it from inside? Or do the screens pull away easily for front access?

Its an old carport that was there when we bought the property that I added a woodshed to on the left side , the front where the doors are now used to be totally open (16' wide) . The lumber area up in the "attic" space has a wire hardware cloth (basically 3/4"x3/4" square metal mesh) that is screwed on with fender washers that I can just unscrew and roll back to get at that lumber .
The hardware cloth keeps the raccoons out

Fun Fact ~ Raccoons create a community latrine fot their area where they all shit to keep track of what everybody in the neighbourhood is up to , they like to use elevated covered areas

Ask me how I know , lol

Not as awesome cleaning it up with 2' of headroom and having to burn a bunch of otherwise good lumber
