Just keep in mind if you don't have a skid plate, and you're rock crawling, you could catch the Fumoto on a rock.

My RCI skid covers mine up so I don't worry about it. :)

My thought is, now that I have ordered this, and I explain to the wife that it could be hit by a rock, that skids and a lift are now required :ohsnap:

LOL There you go! See if that works.

The Fumoto itself is pretty cheap over all. Can't imagine that's a hard expenditure to get away with. ;)

My setup has been changed once since initial install. Originally I had OME 887 springs up front. Then I put a bumper and winch on. That dropped it by a full inch. So I switched to 886 springs.

As it sits right now I'm sitting at:

22" Front Driver (hub to fender)
23" Rear Driver (hub to fender)

Mind you I've had plenty of time for everything to settle. I've been to Moab and flexed it, etc.

    Great build.
I was already leaning towards 4.56 gears and you've provided great info.
Especially the exhaust. I'm scared to mess with the it because I barely lIke the stock sound and really haven't heard a v6 with modified exhaust that I'd pay for, but I must say those dyno results help to accept the sound.

LOL It's okay so long as you don't mind having your check engine light come on every day. URD isn't certain their O2 Simulator can be adjusted to fix the issue on my 2015. Kind of frustrating. I need to remove mine and send it back to them so they'll send me a replacement.

Took the rig on a camping/hiking trip this weekend. Had a blast. No use of 4x4 but the truck was nice on the rocky/rough road on the ride in.

We found the absolute best camp site in the particular area we went into. Two fire pits in the camp and a high flowing creek mere yards from where we setup our tents. Amazing.

It's beautiful country! I've been here 10 years and have barely gotten outside. It's really sad. But that's going to change. Every time I do get out doors I realize how badly I need to be out there. So peaceful. So relaxing. So beautiful.

And after this camping trip I think I've got a new camping/hiking partner to explore with so that'll help! :)

Took a solo trip up to South Meadow Creek Lake today for Labor day. The GF was off hunting so I had nothing better to do!

Drove past what I think we're a couple hunters camp sites to FS-1221. This trail is just wide enough for one vehicle. So happy nobody else was on it.

Saw a little buck antelope on my way up to the trail.

The initial drive up was wet from rain but otherwise a beautiful fall day.

The higher I got the more rocky the road got. And then the rain turned to snow. Maxed out at 8650ft elevation by the time I reached the lake. Driving up into the fog was romantic as all get out. Very cool up there.

Had planned to eat lunch and then shoot my .45...until I realized I forgot hearing protection!! Arrgghh.

Once again the Rotopax bed rail mounts proved worthless. I had to remount them at the top and again after descending.

Sounds like you need some redneck engineering on the mounts. Montana is beautiful, I need to get over there again.

Yeah I probably do! LOL Would be nice if a company like Rotopax actually made a product that worked. It all comes down to the diamond shaped nut they use that's supposed to catch inside the bed rail track. What I need are T-shaped blocks like a TW member made for my HiLift mount!

And yes, Montana is beautiful country!!

Took the truck in on Thursday to the local customs shop to have some greasing/lubing done. My front end suspension setup had taken to squeaking a bit. Also had them spill and fill the front differential (it's been making a winding sound and we wanted to make sure there were no metal bits in there). The diff fluid came out fine. However, it's quieter now that they put synthetic fluid in there. Found that interesting.

On the front end suspension however they advised me my SPC LR UCA ball joint on the passenger side had a little play in it. Since I bought it from @HeadStrong Off-Road I contacted Marie and inquired about warranty. She got me in touch with SPC directly and I had my claim filed and processed in about an hour. So my replacement ball joint should be coming in just a couple days. Sounds like they've changed the ball joint design a bit (now using a greasable joint) so I'll be replacing both at once for good measure.

Received my warranty replacement ball joints from SPC via UPS yesterday. They shipped them out pretty quickly. Having them installed Thursday morning!
