any reason why making something like this for the upper mount wont work on the rear of the 4runner? thinking outside the frame rail (providing room)

Obviously making it fully welded, not bolt on.

The frame is dovetailed where you place the shocks. Not impossible, but it's not as cut an dry as you think.

    Don't over-complicate it. It's just a shock mount, not a coilover.

this is all without really looking underneath and using the shock to see clearances. Its all thoughts and research until the shocks come in.

I looked at those as well and is where I got the inspiration for the mounts I built, but no, those are not going mount right up.

X2, are you making the mounts, or having a fabricator do it?

combo of me and a friend who welds and has fabbed his SAS w/ coilover and bypass swap on his 90s F350. Pretty sick build. But Im just looking at ideas for now. Wont be 4-6 weeks until i have them in hand to actually do something.

EDIT: Im 100% open to any and all suggestions.

OME/Camburg BJ UCA lift installed. Pretty happy with it. Maintained the factory rake so it'll sit level-ish when loaded up with cooler/camping gear/dog.
