But is it short like the K&N

The reason i went back to toyota thailand filters is becaus they have so much more filter media than the k&n

I only bought the k&n for the 1" nut on the top and ease of removal

Just from a quick Google search:

"Toyota TRD oil filters are their top of the line filter, the media is synthetic and 98% efficient at 20 microns."

"They are manufactured by Frampion (Champ Labs). They are made with the microglass media that is currently used in the Royal Purple/Amsoil line that Champ also produces. Great filters with excellent cold flow properties. They even have the K&N nut on the bottom. Silicone AD valve as well. They are very high quality filters."

Hey guys. Ganna do a mini update here.

So Ive barely touched my truck since the con. Washed it up:
    image.jpg
I had been putting off throwing it in the garage for maintenance... Cuz uh I had something else in there :shitstorm:

Got a new work truck/DD I guess? I'm now our lead installer at work and well, I was able to work out a pretty sweet deal on this.
    image.jpg
Her name is Lana... After an old teacher... Cuz well, she's white, bulky, it's not quite what I wanted, but I sure don't mind riding her around for while
Also works out good because my real truck I want (white ram 2500 will be named Pam from Archer) so here we have the smaller version, Lanaaaaaa!

Anyways I promptly threw this bitch on jack stands and sent the wheels off to powder coat.
    image.jpg

Then I took off to Montana for hunting. My dad finally drew an Antelope tag. He also really wanted to test out the new CVT and well we only had one other vehicle with a roof rack.... Why not go beat on a brand new Lexus?
    image.jpg
    image.jpg
    image.jpg
    image.jpg
I would like to say I think this is the best thing to ever leave the drawing boards from Toyota/Lexus. All of the capability of our trucks or a 4Runner but just so nice. All the features, electronics, creature comforts, on the fly suspension... I mean it's all amazing. Plus tons of V8 Powaaaa and way better gas mileage than us!
Idk, it's just cool to be doing what you would do any other Toyota truck or SUV all inside the quiet luxurious cabin. I would absolutely love to build one of these for my wife someday.

Then I got back home and of course my headlights on my truck completely stopped working. Takes over 30 tries to get them to power on. Idk wtf is going on.

Luckily I got my wheels back just in time.
Wrapped them in some 295/55R20 Toyo AT IIs and tossed on some bilsteins. Set the fronts at 2.1".
    image.jpg
5 link rear suspension... Awfully comfy
    image.jpg
Deeper all the badges too. Now besides headlights (which I plan to do... Although I'm not exactly super happy with Morimoto atm)
I now have the $1500 add on "Black Appearance Group" haha
So glad I got the Colormatched bumpers. Walked out the door 13k under MSRP... Impossible to pass up. It was a dealer special along with Rams factory 20% off.
Anyways I think it sure looks good now. Even though it's still a half ton, it doesn't look dinky now. And it sits up way higher than my Taco. I feel cool ;)
    image.jpg
    image.jpg

Taco is sitting in the shop drained of oil.
    Todos:
    • Figure out headlights
    • Change engine oil
    • Reboot CVs
    • Change front gear oil
    • Remove rainbow stickers
    • Clean, wax, undercoat for winter
    • Remove driveshaft and get rebalanced/maybe retubed :(
    • Install axle shims hopefully to fix vibes
    • Maybe band aid fix rear with a longer shackle?
    • Get some air bumps (eventually)
    • Clean interior
    • Powdercoat bed bars
    • Fix backup camera
    • Replace reverse light
    • Softtopper on for winter
Good thing I have another DD lol
Also... Get ready... I went in on the Copper Ray10s. Coming soon

I do like the Lexus.... whatever they call the land cruiser. One day, when my taco is retired to trail duty and I am ready for SUV DD life.

Yeah. I'm assuming by the time this taco is ready to be replaced as DD I will be able to afford one. That's like 10+ years of saving!
