I guess it depends on how long the Rotopax are.

Yep, which is the main reason I was asking. Trying to decide if I want to buy the stacking setup or just a set of 2 or 4. Looking for feedback from the community who have the voodoo and the roto's

I would go with one of these on each side: http://rotopax.com/4-gallon-gasoline-1.html?category_id=28

Awesome looking rack, have a short bed that could sure use the added utility, but have to ask; how bad is the tall rack regarding noise and MPG loss? Had a Baja Flat Utility rack on my 4Runner that was very convenient, but that sucker was loud as hell and cost me 2+ MPG's empty.... so now I at least ask ha

Obviously when I have stuff attached to it I'm not concerned, but my truck is my daily driver so when empty just the rack is my question.

    Let me know, thanks!

A slight loss in mpg is well worth the awesomeness of this rack.

Totally don't question the awesomeness , but when empty and headed down the highway taking my wife to dinner, will there be any howling noise to explain? Not to mention my own long term sanity while traveling between jobsites (30+ miles highway each way, often empty). Like I said, I expect noise while loaded, just curious about empty.

I haven't noticed any noise, or decrease in mileage. My truck gets shitty MPG regardless of what's in the bed.

Didn't notice a noise at the beginning when I first had the rack on my stock truck. Now i can't really hear any strange whistles over the friendly drone of 315/75s. also didnt notice a MPG drop until I went up to big boy tires, i'd say the rack didnt decrease my fuel efficiency

Can someone with an RTT post a picture of one of the mounting areas from the tent to this rack? Just trying to make sure I have a good setup before I jettison my tent on the interstate!

Brackets to allow use of the rack with covers.

It will accommodate covers that are up to 63.25" wide and 2" thick. (the factory cover is 1.5" thick and 62.50" wide)

The brackets are 3/16" thick steel.

It has 0.50" of vertical adjustment.

Brackets are on order from the laser cutter. We'll have them in 3 weeks.

For a new rack, without the standard clips, they are a $75 option.

What covers can be fully opened/closed with the rack on? It does not appear at first glance you could use a hard cover with the mounts as you would have to take the rack off each time you wanted to flip the cover to access the entire bed area.

You wouldn't be able to open any covers with the rack installed. These mounts simply allow you have the rack, and the cover, on your truck at the same time.

All access to the bed would have to be through the bed.

If opening the cover is a necessity, check these out: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-covers-pre-order-redesigned-for-rtts.458039/
