I found a moose skull WITH antlers a few days ago...it was either poached or disease kill. As there was nothing salvaged on the animal. It was maybe 50yds off the side of a dirt road. So I braved the stink and saved the skull. I'll euro mount it later once the smell subsides...not a big guy but still a nice find.

My wife put in for a draw tag for bull moose this year and she got the tag first time! She also got her bull moose. Its not huge but like her patience it was what she wanted to shoot. I had a piece of backstrap and she made spaghetti and meat balls for dinner last night and this has to be by far the best tasting wild game Ive ever eaten. We had to quarter it up to get it out of a draw it was in. She shot it with her 300 win mag-180gr SST, I think around 200yds It may be less but I'll have to verify the distance.

I got my wifes moose skull boiled and 99% of the tissue removed. Its going to hang outside under the carport so I didnt get 100%. All I need to do is satin poly the skull and poly the antlers and it will be done. I'll post a pic of the boiled skull tomorrow.
