Wow that's surprising, although considering people Bob their bed with ease with a sawzall makes sense

V bars! Rear tubes! Dash board!

This what I did over the last 3 weeks. I got the dash tube in. I dodged all ac vents. You probably won't find a first gen with a cage that has all working vents cuz it sucks to make. Doing the tubes through the firewall and that sucks just add must as the dash. All be happy once I get done with the dash area.

So I got a tube to go from the dash and tie into the front of the frame next to the radiator.

The driver side is going to be exciting!

It does feel like I'm all over the place. I just wanted to get everything around the dash area all tied up while the window is out.
I'm mostly just concentrating on the dash/ firewall. I need to make supports to hold the steering wheel and dash accessories. It's all stuff devoted to get my dash back in. A first gen is a pretty tight work area. I'll get pictures when I work on it. I really didn't want to cut the core support off yet, but it's all tied in with the dash area. You could say I'm going full ass. I need a break starting to get a bit burnt out.

After dash, core support, and seat mounting. I'll be good to go.

Telling me. This is a good chunk of work for a guy that has a full time career. A vaca is due for me. Truck won't be ready, but might be able to steal the ford to take out the dirt bike.

Phase 2 of trying to fit my dash in. Too much stuff in there. I must of pulled the dash 20 times yesterday.

Next weekend I hope to make a good jump back into this truck. I should have good pics next week. Right now it doesn't look like I've done muchIMG_20161009_113055823_HDR.jpg

You can see how I had to attach the engine tie in section to the a pillar. This section isn't 'race truck" I dodged a few areas to keep AC vents. I have to mount it to the dash tube instead of the a pillar. It going to do the job of holding my core support. Not pretty.
    IMG_20160925_102425113_HDR.jpg
    IMG_20161014_134215006_HDR.jpg
Here is how much I hacked away of the dash.
    IMG_20161014_161844177.jpg
    IMG_20161014_161945521_HDR.jpg
I slide a small piece of tube over the end of the old dash tube with a quick tack to the A pillar. Also a lower tab to mount the bottom of the dash.
    IMG_20161014_162002944_HDR.jpg
I did a quick and dirty way to hold the steering column in place. Just a small section of 3/16" I had. More solid than it was stock. Also lower dash mount painted black. I pushed the fuse block back by the clutch petal. Hope I don't pop a fuse there. Going to take a while to change it out. Well here is all the stuff you get to see before I cover it up.
