I have a random question regarding tire pressure..

I got 4 new tires (DuraTrac 265/75/16 load range C) for my truck on Monday and the shop said they inflated them all to 35 PSI when they installed them. After installation they did an alignment and everything seems to be going OK.

So I check my tire pressure this morning - everything was cold, hadn't driven it for 15 + hours. The front driver's side tire is at 35 PSI while the other three tires are at 40 PSI. This puzzled me because the day before I got the new tires, my tire pressure warning light came on and I had to add air to the front driver's side tire (so same situation with the old tires - Dunlop 245/75R16). Could this just be a coincidence? Or does anyone think there is a reason my front driver's side tire is consistently lower than the rest?

After driving for a while I checked the pressures again and the front driver's side came up to 37 PSI and the other tires went up to 42 PSI.

I brought the truck back to the tire place today to have the lugs re-tourqued (they recommend doing so after 50 miles) and I had them check the front left tire for leaks and had them even out the pressure.. Everything seemed to be fine. But after getting home the front left is still 3 PSI lower than the others.

I'm not too worried about a slight difference in PSI but it's strange I'm having the same problem with two different sets of tires.

You are basically taking their word for it. Adjust them how you want, drive for a few days and re-check. Pretty simple... They may have goofed on one tire and not inflated it to 35 or did the others higher. Check them your self then you will know.

Thats what i was thinking. Possibly that the front left doesnt get as much sun when im parked? They dont even out after driving thats why i am confused.
