Gonna have to agree with Monte on this one. HC on the sides don't really save you a whole lot. Like he said you hit bedsides regardless so you hit the tubes that push you away from the obstacle. Realistically I hit the bottom of my rear bumper on anything before I hit the sides. Granted I don't have something like Moab under my belt but I have one of the rockiest offroad parks on the east coast that I base my experiences off.

I guess the HC bedsides are directly related to the area you wheel in.
We have lots of big rocks here. Young Brett likes to drag his pile through the worst of it. A stock bed would have been destroyed by now. For him, it just makes sense.

From what I understand you can request any height smooth body and have their stock series ends put on them to fit the 18mm peg the stockers sit on. Give DSM a call, my guess is they actually have something that matches your application pretty closely.

Didn't do this today, but since I'm new here..

    Custom padded rifle box
Camo door panels and center console

Ignore the crappy Walmart seat covers. I am planning to upgrade those in the future.

kings have quite a long compressed length. youd be quite limited to the travel shock used in factory mounts without loosing alot of uptravel. Imo the only way to take full advantage of those leafs/shocks are to do a shock relocation.

Haha thanks for the reminder. Last night was a vast improvement in brightness and sharpness. But I noticed something that I have to correct before I give a final judgment on them. Because the old sealed beams wore their columnating lens in front the result was a soft light distribution that hid the fact that my lights were grossly out of alignment vertically. The new lights cast their low beam with a sharp cutoff, not unlike a projector. So my illuminated distance in front of the truck was very shallow albeit bright last night. I am going to properly realign my lights since it hasn't been done ever (and my truck has a massive rake) and then I expect very different results. The highbeam however was so amazingly brilliant and cast very far so I'm sure these are going to be great once properly aligned. I'll let you know tomorrow after I've had a chance to align them (tonight) and drive it a bit.

You never know the importance of having a roll of bum wad till your cheek deep with a handful of birch rind.
