Legendary is putting it lightly! But your right, mostly contained to the cities, and good god Boston traffic has gotten crazy! I was coming back from ME a couple weeks ago and I've never been in it so bad! Thought I had timed it right, then bam! creepin' for hours all the way down to the Cape practically.

I spend a lot of time in LA and Boston - I would take Boston traffic over LA any day however LA has so much more to see. Currently it seems like every highway in Boston is under construction right now... With the new toll system on the pike it should smooth out the traffic from miserable to bad.

Wake up earlier. I leave my house at 4:30 and never sit in traffic. The way home is a different story though. The traffic heading south is a lot worst then heading north. I get stuck in the tunnel but it usually clears up after that.

That's about where I'm at. I used to be able to leave at 5:30 and sail in though even earlier this year.

Ever since schools started back up even the back roads I take to work are insane. My 35 minute commute was taking me about an hour if I left the house at 6:15. Now I have been leaving at 5:15 and just going to the gym before work and my 35 minute commute is back.

Ah the morning suburb dump. When there are minivans, sport sedans, and SUVs as far as the eye can see - everyone holding a coffee cup. I drive through a few Towns to get from Douglas to 495 and there is a 20 minute window in the morning; if I leave any later than that - I am just another douche trying to make it to work on time. But I do agree that traffic has been getting worse as time rolls on.

Granted I am not driving into Boston like some of you guys (god bless your souls), but I have notice more and more people moving to the suburbs who work in Boston. The little apartments are not cutting it anymore and a generation is starting to have families and want the land/square footage for a more reasonable price. My neighbor works in Boston and just moved here a couple years ago from a shitty small apartment in Jamaica Plains. He is another douche who clogs up the Pike every morning now.

Yup. I go Hopedale to Natick and rt 16 to 27 is a hot mess around 7am. Light cycle traffic nightmares are made of.

I'm with you on that - I turned down a job just because of the commute. I work in westford now so I hit little to no traffic either way as opposed to when I worked in the city for 6 months I wanted to shoot someone every morning. It blows my mind how people operate a vehicle while on their phones in one hand, drinking coffee in the other and changing lanes with whatever fingers they have left to hold the wheel....
For those of you who commute - more power to you...

I drove to Quincy for work the other day. I did that daily from 2000-2004 and usually an hour tops. Took an hour and 40. WTF

Analog speedo was jacked up. Digital readout matched my gps, analog was way off. It would happen intermittently. I'd look at the speedo and.be like man it feels like im going faster than 40, o wait I'm actually doing 78mph...
