Anyone doing the 24 hours in the old pueblo MTB race in February?

Is it Old Pueblo? I am not this year but it is on my list. I have done 24 Moab, 25 Frog Hollow, 12 Mesa Verde, 12 Sundance, and many more endurance races. If you do it let us know how it is?

 

Yeah, Its Old Pueblo. It'll be my third time doing it.

 

It's that time of year again. I'm looking for some teammates. Any takers?

Not listening anymore. Pemberton CCW isn't worth an entry fee IMO.

But you need to get me back on the bike and plan a trip this way or that way.

 

I know nothing of the area so if you want to set up a weekend to hit some worthwhile trails I am totally in!

 

For sure. Phoenix and surrounding is full of options.

South Mountain (big name chunk)
Black Canyon Trail (incredible long day riding)
Trail 100 (and surrounding North Mountain Park trails) (small name chunk)
Browns Ranch and McDowell Mountains (XC cruise)
Picketpost/AZ Trail (good long riding)
and many others I'm forgetting names of, all great winter desert riding

Plus Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson maybe.

I did ride in Cloudcroft, NM 1 day a number of years ago. Got rained out after and spent a few days around ABQ riding also. The Gallup area has been on my distant radar for a while.

I just have to get my legs/lungs back in shape.

I won't be in the race but I may tag along with a few buddies that are racing. Curious where you got your furious George pic from though?

 

I just found it on the interweb and a chimp with ab1911 seemed like a good idea.

 

I believe it came from a metal band up in Phoenix, either way,I had some cheap stickers made of that exact picture, just was curious.
