If you are a first gen prerunner, I don't think you want either the 887 or 885 coil. These give 3" and 2.5" on 4wd 2nd gens.

You may want to reconsider the 887 and 885 coil recommendations for your 1st gen.

Ok, what coils would you recommend then? 882's?

Great. Seems like 882's are the best bet.

No problem man! I read some other threads and it looks like 881s are the best to get me around 2" or so.

2015 dcsb 4x4, no additional weight, 5100/887 at 0, 1/4" driver spacer, HS prog aal w/ OL left in.

When I intially installed everything, my truck sit leveled. Now the front sits a little lower cause the suspension settled.

My question is - should I leave the 5100's at 0" setting and just add some top spacers with my driver side lean spacer to level out the truck?

    OR

Bump the 5100/887 to the .85" setting with the 1/4" spacer for driver lean.

The truck was at the height I wanted when I initially installed it and I want it back at that height. I probably lost about 1/2"- 3/4" upfront. Any recommendations?

I wouldn't adjust the 5100 to the .85 setting. That'd be a harsh ride. Your best bet would be top plate spacer in my opinion

On that note, whats your opinion on having a driver side spacer with addition to another top plate spacer? Ok to do if the studs are long enough?

So example setup will be 1/4" driver lean spacer with 1/2" spacer on top/below on the driver side, then a 1/2" spacer passenger side.

    Or

Find a 3/4" spacer for driver side and 1/2" spacer for passenger side.

In my opinion I'd rather the second option. That's just me, I'd rather one solid piece over two sucked. I'm no expert on this stuff lol just giving opinions. But reading this thread many have said for sure do not do any setting on the billies other than the 0 setting

From my experience lifting/lowering usually follows a 2:1 ratio. Adding 3/4 inch of spacers to the d.s. will raise it at least a 1", probably closer to 1.5" I think smaller adjustments with spacers are ok, but 3/4" is about as far as I would go. You will also more than likely need new studs. I think most places only say its "ok" with 1/4" spacers.

Yea, I'm definitely in the same boat. Less things to malfunction!

Yea, I was thinking of messing with a few spacers cause it's not a noticeable rake but I definitely can tell and I'm not digging it lol. Also, i've noticed I'm starting to rub in areas where I never rubbed before cause i had more clearance.

Yep, I had 887/Bilsteins on my 2012 DCLB for about a month while I sent my Icons in for a rebuild. They provided plenty of lift but the ride wasn't nearly as nice as the Icons.

Think this is the only pic I have with that setup. They started off pretty high and then settled a bit after a few weeks- this pic was taken after they had settled. Tires are 285/75/16. I had to cmc, cut some of the fender at the very bottom, and trim some of the plastic fender liner.

Love the look of your truck. Does your truck sit level? Or is there rake in the rear? Do you have overload spring in rear?
