I would like to get some advice from some of you veterans who have been fabing your own stuff for a while... I am no stranger to projects/builds/welding but am new to those aspects when made for offroad/trail use. I want to start fabing up my own stuff but dont really have the equipment to do so... What basic equipment do you recomend to make some tube bumpers/sliders etc.... I dont have a whole lot of $$ or space so with that being said, whats the best route for me to take?

If need be you can build all you want with a decent 120VAC Mig Welder and a 4 1/2 in grinder having several grinders is better but if your really low budget you can live with changing the different discs as needed

A used Porta band is nice

then one buys tools as needed clamps being a very good thing to have

Quite easy to have $100,000.00 in fabrication tooling and still needor want more

    ...we'll get there.
Also will probably depend on what you want to make. Pipe bender will be invaluable if you are thinking tube style

You can get good deals on tools at a pawn shops most of the time. I always see welders, grinders, chop saws, and band saws. If I'm looking for something used it's usually where I go first. Got my Dremel there for under $10.
