    @sytfu510 Two quick questions, are you getting any rubbing or hitting at full articulation with your snorkel? And do you have any pictures of how you ran your piping underneath the fender?

    If you would re-read my initial post, you would find that I declared a strut-tower-brace's function to be not entirely unlike a sway bar, I did not say it was a sway bar meant to prevent or have anything to do with body roll.

    This is basic reading comprehension and the use of a simile (to convey thought, for the user who might not of heard of a "strut tower brace" but knows about sway bars).

    If it prevents frame flex torsionally wouldn't it be somewhat of a swaybar :cookiemonster:

    I have one but I can't comment on how it affected the ride since I swapped coilovers at the same time

    Well, as I said, swaybars on our truck are designed to limit body roll, whereas an engine crossbrace tying the shock towers together is designed to limit frame flex. So if they are "not entirely unlike" then I guess you could say the same about leaf springs and shocks.


    And Alex is running the @Bonzen solid motor mounts

    Yeah when I talked to DD about doing mine they said you have to have solid motor mounts to prevent engine rocking and IIRC they still notched Alex's hood a bit to fit a single 1.75" tube across it. However, after talking to Tim at DMZ, he says a single tube just isn't strong enough, so I'm still researching on how to get 2 parallel tubes in there which DD says cant be done. I am in no way saying Dirt Designs is wrong or doesn't know what theyre talking about, I think they do awesome work and in all reality Ill probably be dropping the truck with them to get the same thing, but I also think where theres a will theres a way and we can fit parallel tubes in there somehow :D

    Mine will probably be redone when I chop all the crap off the front end. But for now it works. And I don't go jumping so I should be ok. Other than my now busted upper radiator support. lol
