    It's a deal we're making with a friend who owns a scrap yard type place. And I have SOME money...just not enough money to get what I want lol, I wanna order all the piggyback related stuff all at once.

    I can confirm the cams fit the heads. i still haven't put that engine together though so, timing is the unknown. But the distributor notch is not an issue, In all reality it lets you run a dizzy if you wanted for some odd reason. But these cams are worthless unless you beef up the bottom end to handle rpms and a custom Engine control, They're meant for a engine that revved around 7000 after all. Pic of said cams installed

    Awesome! Glad to know that I can put them in the future built motor! Hopefully we can see how they perform top end wise and how much of the stock torque curve you loose bottom end wise, but that's a ways off :D thanks!

    These engines aren't cheap to build lol. Going to try and keep costs down on this one with junkyard parts.. Cams were 50 bucks on a 50% off day at pick n pull. Crank is the next project..

    Yeah that's what I'm doing, I gotta find a 3vzfe crank now...I also heard VQ35 rods fit a 5VZ which would be great since forged 5vzfe rods are $1200 and the Nissan VQ forged rods are $500

    Aftermarket? That's less than 100 a rod. You sure about that?

    Molnar Rods has a very reasonable price on rods just over $600 for the 1gr. Might have some for your engine.

    Was the $1200 price from LC Engineering? If so, they use Pauter Rods. Very good rods.

    If i remember right the big end and small end are the proper size but the overall length is slightly shorter. Don't quote me on that i read it somewhere a few years ago
    I bought the pauters for my trucks engine. They're nice, pricey, and heavy, but very nice
