Im wanting to purchase new mats for my tacoma. I havent owned either brand in the past. So im curious what other people think. Is one better than the other? Why?

    Thanks

Haven't owned Husky, but own Weathertech. I think they look pretty good but the fit isn't amazing. There are gaps near the transmission and the top by the pedal. Not huge gaps, but gaps nonetheless.

Personally I think they are both overpriced for what they are, but if you go OffRoad a lot, or live in the snow, they might be worth it to you. They definitely do their job.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
The Husky seem to have more grip when wet over the Weathertechs. Just my opinion. I slid around before getting in and out on wet Weathertechs.

That too. Depending on shoes, I've heard Weathertechs are more slippery when wet. Mine definitely squeak when wet, but I don't slide around. I usually wear vans or no slip work boots if that helps.

I've had both; prefer the Husky Xact Contours. They fit better, are more flexible, and are less slippery when wet. For others: ymmv.

Husky Xact Fits. Had the Weathergaps, fitment kind of sucks. Slippery as well, love my Huskys.

I am forced to get the husky weatherbeats cause third pedal. Are they slippy? I prefer a little rubber grip to my mats so my heals aren't sliding all over the place.

I have no experience with the Weatherbeaters, but from the videos I've seen, they appear to be stiffer than the Xact Contours. If they're like the Weathertechs, you will likely have some slipping. Why are you relegated to Weatherbeaters because you have a clutch pedal? I had a manual transmission in my 2010 and used Weathertechs. I simply shaved a very small bit off the mat so the clutch pedal didn't hang up.

I've got the Husky Weatherbeaters in my truck. I don't have anything to compare them to, but they fit like a glove, are non slip, a little cheaper, and built tough. I'd recommend and buy another set if needed. I did notice that the Weathertech liners come up a little higher on the sides than the Husky's do, which I like.

I had the weathertech and picked up the husky to compare. Ended up selling the weathertech and keeping the husky they are great.

Side note- both mats are awesome.

Another vote for the husky. I have them in my tacoma and they have held up extremely well to work boots, snowboarding boots, motocross boots, dirt sand, mud, oil, water, and who knows what else.

I like my Huskies, plus they just happen to have tan-colored ones that match my rig :D

I own the weatherTechs, yes they are slippery - foot has slipped getting in and out a couple of times. Now I'm just aware of it and always grab onto the "holy shit" bar.
They are also stiff - which is kind of nice when it comes to the sides, keeps all the crap inside the mat, which is a good thing when the snow and slush turns to water.
The fit is not 100%, but they are not far off.
Never owned Husky's, so don't have an opinion on them.
What I'd love to do is rip out all the carpet flooring and have insulated rubber flooring installed, don't know why car/truck companies don't do this, who the hell likes carpet flooring inside their vehicle anyways???
The only benefit I see in the carpet, is to help with noise reduction, besides that, it's a PITA to clean, and keep clean.
Just my 2 cents, of course I'm Canadian, so it's not even worth that! :canada:

I'm glad I found this thread as I've been debating on which to go with all week.

Is $150 shipped a good price for the Huskys for those that purchased them? I am trying to find where has the best prices and that's the lowest I found so far.

Was that for the fronts and backs or just the fronts?
