I washed the truck and coated the underside with Fluid Film. Ha.

When the rear suspension gets here and the lift goes on I'll be doing a full brake job. I have ordered EBC Premium rotors and green stuff pads for the front, then will get the drums machined and fresh shoes.

Just playing the waiting game now. C'mon Allpro send me that email saying everything is on its way!!

I have been thinking about the exhaust, need to do the reroute as ive already hit it a few times. Not sure on muffler choice as i do not want anything louder than stock, but would like to shed the weight/size of the factory muffler as well.

After testing new and used Tacomas I really noticed the difference the EBC brakes make. Work good

I've only got 20k miles on my Taco so I'm not due for brakes yet. Curious though since I saw your post. Did you do EBC pads and factory rotors? Personally I don't think the brakes on my Taco are that great!

Did you use the EBC Greenstuff (6000 or 7000 series) or Yellowstuff?

Wow, $152 for pads and rotors? That seems pretty cheap. Hmmmm. I should do that some day. Would be nice if this truck stopped faster. lol Though I'd be tempted to do their 7000 series.

went yellow stuff pads on their slotted/dimpled rotors. Got lucky because someone was selling a new set of pads they didnt want to use so they were cheap. Replaced the fluid at the same time too. I think i'll go with the green stuff next time (I think, whatever one comes with more life). These are about a year old and already half worn, or more when I looked at them. But they have been good pads. Picked up some stainless lines too I'll be putting on soon and hopefully they help the feel a bit too

Cool. Since my rig is setup for off-road I'm going to stay away from slotted or cross drilled rotors. It's said that stuff (dirt, mud, rocks) can get into those slots and create physical wear issues.

The yellow stuff makes sense it wouldn't last as long since it's supposed to be the harder braking (faster stopping, higher wear).

Still waiting on AllPro to get the springs in and everything shipped over, called them today and Tracy said 2 more weeks, would be great to get it on before too much snow comes as i want to see how it handles offroad.

I went on an 8 day backpacking trip for school, took a few photos..

Also, whats the best thing to use to dissolve super glue? ONE projector got slightly turned off the horizontal cut off so the drivers side shoots up higher, it annoys the hell outta me so i have to free up the nut to twist the projector. i tried tightening the projector but its maxed out.

Anyone know if other companies sell the AP expo leafs and possibly have them in stock still? Going on 9 weeks or so since i ordered and the date they are to get them in keeps getting pushed back, would love to give them a try but i may have to cancel the order and get dakars since the snow is falling where i live and my install will be outside... i NEED new tires before too much snow falls and yhe bigger tires wont fit currently due to all the weight in the truck

Someone I know who installs them mentioned that the Dakars ride MUCH better than the Allpro Expo's. hes had feedback from both.
