I thought I felt a disturbance in the force.

So...any chemistry or were there major red flags like her comparing Colorado to Tahoe?

So I have an issue with an off-road shop that I would like advise from y'all. About a year ago I installed my toytec BOSS 2.5 C/Os and fox 2.0 rears. I did not feel comfortable installing extended SS brake lines, so I had a local shop do it. Well I have not been under the truck since, but after doing the axels and wheel bearings I noticed that there are no SS extended lines on the front or rear. Is this something that I can make the shop pay for and do? Or is it my fault for not checking their work? I feel I shouldn't have to make sure they do what they say they are going to.

She got a free dinner, I got a hug. :anonymous:
Not expecting a call back. I'm not calling back either. Honestly, way too far to commute for that sort of thing. She was cool though, we did have a lot in common.

Bottom line, at this age, both parties generally own a home and are financially stable, not willing to re-locate is a common problem.

I've been loosely following this but if you are talking about the ST Maxx I got mine in 255\85\16 from discount tire in Boulder in December.

Is the G2 new? All I know is I had Terra Grapplers and I would not recommend them for snow. In my opinion they are to wide for how light our trucks are and don't bite into the packed snow. I had to use four wheel drive to get moving because they would just spin on everything but a downhill. I even got stuck in a McDonald's drive through! It was ice but nobody else seemed to have troubles. They did surprise me in the dirt and mud on more than one occasion though.

Much happier with the ST Maxx in the snow. I rarely used four wheel drive after switching, unless I'm in deep stuff. So far I think they have out performed others that I have wheeled with in the snow but that also comes down to what psi everyone is running. Everyone seems scared to go below 15psi :notsure:

You sure they are not SS? Mine are black and at first glance you wouldn't be able to tell a difference.

    I have been running 10psi.

Discount promised me they would return the tires if I didn't like them. I think you may be right though, could be too wide. I don't like Discount, so I'm gonna make them jump through hoops to earn my money. :D
After looking at the 17" sizes, I'll prolly go that way with the ST Maxx. 285/75R17

100% positive. I got the ones from the ongoing group buy that are braided and the ones installed on the truck are the originals

    what's the thinking there?
    I'm running 285/75/16

I just looked and saw that those are a little better than an inch bigger diameter.
It's hard for me to believe that someone who had silly swampers would be -that- picky about the exact size :D

correct. I just looked up and I paid 312.xx for them to install all four lines and do an alignment. I have CC proof of payment, as well as proof of purchasing the lines. I am going to go to the shop and confront them on tuesday (out of town monday).

Here is my .02 it's your truck. Your paying for a job to get done. Check it after the shop says it's been done. Always. I understand if it's a close person you know and trust but it's still your own responsibility to check. Now that being said if you still have an invoice or receipt take it back and discuss it with them.

Another thing if you feel that the shop might do this again. It would be cool of you to share the shop with people so that people can be aware of how they do things. It's just me. I would look out for my buddy, that's all.

Edit Ok I just read your going back to the shop to square it away. Good luck!

I was going to wait until the situation is resolved, but after thinking about it, someone might be getting work done currently and need to be on the look out. The shop is RSG offroad in Lakewood. I will update the thread once I speak with them.
