Lots of discussion on front bumper mods, I feel it's worthwhile to open discussion on the possibility of a group buy for a rear plate bumper.

Not a huge fan of the chrome end caps or the stock plastic bumper on the 3rd gen, I think a permanent solution is in order. Not trying to open discussion here on plasti-dip or other paint options, let's move on. When the zombie apocalypse hits, do you really think the plasti-dipped garbage oem bumper is going to cut it? From the mall crawling pavement princess, always on the lookout for the next winner with a shopping cart, to the serious wheelers out there, I think many of us could benefit from this upgrade.

Just a feeler for now to see how much interest we can generate. I am currently in discussion with a vendor to work out the details. Stay tuned, keep posting what you all are needing.

I've looked at these, all solid options. My only gripe with these is (unlike the Fab Four bumper) that they do not tie into the factory receiver. I'm thinking that majority of people want to retain the ability to tow but that might be just my two cents. Let's see what the group consensus is.

Fab fours has def been on my radar for a rear bumper. Any idea when this group buy might start if it kicks off?

Ok, looking more closely, there are optional high clearance receivers available so all viable options.

Just started out with this feeler today. The more interest we generate the more likely a vendor will entertain a group buy.

I'm interested in a replacement bumper. Have looked closely @ Fab Fours. Liking the style. Retaining original towing/receiver is a big deal. Price not over riding my sensibilities as yet. Still looking for a used one for cheaper but not too hopeful. Not interested in a swing out, although they look really cool, don't want the weight of a spare tire or full jerry cans that far from the back axle. Looking forward to how this may pan out.

I'm definitely interested, just busted up my stock chrome cap getting hung up while going through a wash. I'm more interested in a high clearance option so I don't get hung up on more stuff... but I would consider a regular bumper too. Definitely want a hitch too though.

Diggin' the rear '05-15 bumper, maybe with a swing-out. Let's see what you can do for price.

The Pelfreybilt rear bumper has an integrated hitch receiver of its own, and it is every bit as strong as the factory one. And while I haven't worked with Fab Four, I can promise you that Pelfreybilt customer service is second to none!

Same here on the standard "premium" bumper. Once you see how flimsy that OEM bumper is you'll be glad you swapped out. I think the FF looks better than stock as well.

Also... I like the 2 recovery points on the standard bumper from FF..

I'm a fan of Fab Fours so far. I don't see any prices on the website though. I'll keep an eye on this thread, but to be honest even with a GB discount it'll probably too expensive for me. If the price is right though I may be able to jump in!

You might want to get your Post count up; similar to B/S/T thread rules. I bet users and companies would see it as more 'reliable'. Not to say you aren't, just speaking from experience that it could be harder to organize and trying to get people to invest when you don't have much of a presence on here. People can be cautious after a few bad apples have taken $$ and ran.

    Just my $.02, Good Luck!

I hear what you're saying. I'm sure there are others on here with a solid group buy track record. I have contacted some but with other group buys on the go right now, no one was ready to take this on. So, stepping up to the plate. Do I know everything about everything, hell no. That being said, I have contacted several vendors to see if we can get this thing off the ground. If someone with a more "proven track record" wants to run the show on this, I would be more than happy to pass it on.

I was planning on eventually getting Fab Fours' Premium Rear Bumper unless something that suits me better comes along. I'm liking this group-bye option...

Just a heads up that with this being a "Feeler", the details, vendor has not been by any means finalized. I am taking into account what you all are looking for, price point, etc. Hopefully I get things ironed out soon and we can make this thing go live. In the meantime, spread the word, post what you all need.
