Probably a shot in the dark, but anyone use arduino (yet) for the 2-wheel low mod? Thinking about doing it, but might wait til my warranty is over :)

With the price of a Switch-pro out of my range, I was thinking of using something like these and building my own. Anybody done something similar? Expelling some demons from my life that's allowing brain to think and I can't keep up with all the cool ideas I want to try.

If I was going to take the step of adding a microcontroller to oversee the 4wd system, I would be inclined to completely replace the entire 4wd ECU. Its not a particularly complex part.

WOW! $480 for that is robbery!
    Here; $20: https://www.amazon.com/SMAKN®-Chann...F8&qid=1475508659&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+relay+8

Of course, you've upgraded your head unit to one that runs ANDROID, right?
So all you need to do, is plug that relay block into your head unit, and write a little program to control the relays. Then you poke buttons on your head unit.

I hadn't seen that before, but I guess I was gonna get there. Now I wonder about doing it Bluetooth from my phone, or an old S4 with a busted screen I know where is. (I like my stock head unit, for now).

    Bluetooth $26: https://www.amazon.com/DIYmall-Chan...d=1475590522&sr=8-13&keywords=bluetooth+relay

So yeah, that will work from your phone, BUT, it could be illegal to play with your phone while on a public road.

    Check out the build
Nice project OP! I don't want to thread jack, but I've been working on a project that I would like to make open source that's Arduino based. It's tiny, about 1.25"x1.25" and around .5-.75" thick. That's everything including the hardware and screen.

I just got a prototype board for power and monitoring power for dual batteries, and I'm looking to incorporate a 9DOF board. I've been meaning to get some info over to @XPOTRPR to see if he can help me build out the case for it.

I'll try and get some video loaded up if you all are interested in something like this. I hope to make the software open source so anyone can add functionality to the unit.

Bump. I am getting into the arduino and want to check in with others to see what cool projects you are working on.

Tacoma related: I was surprised to learn that an arduino can be set up to communicate with the CAN bus via the OBD2 port, so I’ll bet there’s potential there for something cool.
