Quad size for plowing snow?

    After moving back to and taking over the family farm, I am looking into a quad to plow snow with. I have two Kubota tractors (18 hp and 35 hp diesels) with front loaders and a rear blade, but it is kind of overkill for a few inches of snow. Looking at some used 400-500 cc 4wd quads- are these big enough to push 3-5" of snow with a 48" blade? I hear mixed reviews on how functional they would be. I have zero interest in a SxS - too big for my storage and way too expensive for what you get around here. Thanks in advance for the input.

    I've got a 550 Grizzly. Put it in 4x4 and push as much snow as you want.

    My 88 Polaris 250 4X4 pushes 6" of snow without issue on 48" blade. I'm sure a 400 - 500 wouldn't have any problems. You might even go with a 54" blade. My 48" is Ok going straight but the rear wheel will run over the pile when I turn.

    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    I'd find an old Honda Rubicon or something. I don't remember what their engine size is, but the ATV itself is massive and shouldn't have any problems pushing snow. Even a small 350cc quad could push a few inches of snow around no sweat if you wanted to save money.
