    Hi Gang,
Well, I was gifted these two, all metal, LED lamps and they are uber bright!
Can anyone tell me more about them?

EDIT: Thanks to NightProwler, I know now these are CREE 4D ("fisheye") LEDs and are spot beams. 12 five watt LEDs each = 60 watts. I can find no 7" equivalent fog (wide pattern) or driving (oval pattern) beams for sale. When I can, I will aim them and do some comparison photos of how they light up on a wall and in a field.

I looked at a hundred pics on the Internet, and what matches up are called Cree 7" 60 watt 6000 K... not sure about that, as it is pretty white when I first lit them up!

These are on the outside... my Hella 4000s with HID are the center two...

Anyone who can tell me anymore about these lights, I would appreciate it!

Well, not sure what you're wanting to know exactly.. They have 4d optics. Probably 5 watt cree led's. 6k is probably true as most are around that range. 4d is good for spot applications... They are probably a generic set but still good lights.
How are they compared to your hids?

Well, just as much data as there is would be great. 12 five watt LEDs, yes? I have not had them on for more than a minute, but brighter than the HIDs which take time to warm up to full brightness.
Are there lens caps to make a spot into a wide beam, like with other LEDs? I am guessing these are spots?

Yeah spot due to the 4d optics. I doubt there's any lenses you could purchase. And it probably wouldn't help much because of those 4d optics. If they were optic-less reflectors then it would work. But the 4d design is quite5 different. With any 4d flood optics, each glass projector lens would need to be fluted to spread the light. A lens will not really do anything in this case.
Like this one. Notice the fluted design on the ends.

Here are the light beams against a wall (daytime)...20161012_104849_resized_1e6cec1c34f329b6c74916ed06adbac34d0f22ac.jpg... about 8' from the lights.

The center two are Hella 4000 spot lamps with 35 watt, 5000°K HID conversion:

I like your light setup, HIDs and LEDs. Good combo!!

And I hope you find more information about those lights. They look like they put out a decent amount.

Looks like Google is the place to find the Cree LEDs... They are superior in every way to the HIDs, as can be seen... plus they are instantly bright, I waited about 30 seconds for the HIDs to "warm-up" to full brightness. Of course, these two Hellas are originally 100-watt halogen lamps that I had converted to HID... so maybe not the same as a factory made HID spot lamp?

I am seeking similar size and power LED Driving or FOG (wide cornering) beam lamps to replace the two Hellas. Any help would be welcome!

The friend who sent me the two LED spot lamps also has ones with 8 fluted/ lined 4D fisheyes around 4 plain ones in the center. A combo of fog (wide angle) and spot (pencil beam) patterns... giving what must be like a Driving or Euro Beam affect? I am going to get those and replace my two Hella 4000 Spot beams (HID converted) so that I will have all 4 LED off road lamps in front. I will post photos and also once I can get away from the city, post how they light up the night.

Once I do this, please PM me if you are interested in the metal Hella 4000 spot beams.

The two with wide fish-eye lenses is still not shipped... I also have not gone out to get night photos of the current set up, yet. Stay tuned!!
