Sue, is Jim active on Facebook? I have not talked with him since he left here but I don't see that I can send him a friend request on FB.

Looks like it's headed your way now Sue, hopefully you fare as well as Jim did, stay safe.

Here's the one project----done! Looks simple, but there's a lot of thought went into this, and time. Hope I get to use it!
The screw in the back is OC because I used an existing hole, couldn't cut it off either because I needed the full length of the piece I used, NBD! There is a wheel caster minus the wheel on the tongue off the bike for turning, and the turnbuckle works for up and down movement and twisting of the trailer on uneven terrain, I tested it and it seems to work just fine. Probably could have simplified it by just using the other end of the turnbuckle eye as the swivel point, but that's too easy!
Made the deer cart also, used it last year for part of the drag and it really worked well.

Morning All:wave:. Glad your doing okay from the hurricane Matthew Sue. Thanks for the update on Jim. I'm not on Facebook so if You could, say HI for me, appreciate it.

Looks good Carl. A fine bit of engineering you did. Hope you do get to use it this year.

    Morning all:
At this stage of the game I'm at my limit with hauling just myself around with the bike, no passengers! :p
Actually there are a couple benefits with that setup, using the bike instead of walking several miles both in and out, loading a deer onto the cart and peddling out, putting the deer on the cart and pushing the bike and cart, or loading both the deer and the bike on the cart and pulling the cart out! When I used that cart last year it was unbelievably easier than dragging, sure makes things a lot easier especially when having to drag any distance. Couple places I hunt there are gated roads, no vehicles but can bike in for 3-4 miles, these places are ideal for the bike and cart setup, might have to still drag to get it to the road but then it gets a whole lot easier. Now I just hope there's no deep snow, there just went plan A !!!! :(
Notice the spacers on the coupler are painted Flo. Yellow, there's a reason for that, when I drop them I can find them easier! :D

Kind of funny story. I was maintaining the language labs at MCAS Miramar. During the air show week they practice and fly directly over the classroom and when they make an X pass the dust would come out of the ceiling. Had an Afghani instructor that was not prepared and actually dived under the desk. To say that 20 marines were laughing their @$$ off is an understatement.

Oh and I am 66, can I join the club?

BTW, the new guy always has to fill up the cooler and looks like it's your turn! :D

Welcome Bill, Like Carl said, fill the cooler and have a seat on the porch. Too many accidents at air shows to not take a dive under the table...probably wouldn't help much though. IMO. But was still funny to see.

How did Jim fair down in Fla. Sue? Ask him to drop a line or 2 (Sign up under and alias). I wont sign up on FB so I can't friend him. I must be one of the last in the world not on FB. Even my son who was pi$$ed when his daughter got on is also on now:eek:. Have a good night all.

Hey, I only joined the TW forums a couple weeks ago. I saw the 50+ and decided to look for my age group, and I am here. Don't drink beer anymore but don't leave an unattended bottle of wine anywhere near me or the Misses. Always have the smoker going and I guess I can afford to make a beer run if anyone is close the border in SD foods ready.

Welcome to the group, Bill! Spent quite a few hours in language labs myself - spent a year at DLI and 1.5 years at the Dept of State Foreign Service Institute in Tunisia learning Arabic.

I spent Friday shooting Sporting Clays at a fundraiser that benefits my college - over 350 shooters and should net almost $100,000. Not bad. One of our photographers took this shot - totally posed with my shotgun unloaded to keep it safe.

He did fine. Lots of water in his back yard, but other than that he had no damage.

We stay here to get away from some of the "stupidity" in other threads.

    Good pic!!

Sarsaparilla will be just fine! :)

Wow, that's a good amount to raise at a local fundraiser Mark, sure you will put it to good use.

Having been in the Army Security Agency (Slave Labor for the NSA) for 4 years, I spent a lot of time in places they say I was never at ... But supporting DLI was fun, I picked up more language skills then I ever thought. Local clerk at the 7-11 shouted at a Border Patrol agent in Arabic 'Peace be with you brother'', and I answered correctly by instinct, 'And with you too brother', thought I was going to be followed home. Not like the 9-11 pilots trained only a few miles way....

Whenever the Blue Angels come here, I go sit in my front yard and wait for them to come screaming over. I can almost see the pilots smiling at me, they are that low. Good times!
