Hey guys, It's time to do a clutch on my truck. Its a supercharged 2000 3.4 TRD 4x4. Also running the URD 7th injector kit and smaller S/C pulley. Just wanting to get opinions on what clutch to get & if I should do a flywheel also. Truck has 117k miles on it running 285/75/16 tires & I do wheel the truck.
Should I do the marlin crawler clutch, A centerforce stage II, the competition Clutch stage II from URD or something else?
    TIA!

Funny, the same day I need to ask this question and it's already posted. I had been looking at Marlin vs LCE clutches.

    Marlin with a 1200# plate @ $300 per kit.
LCE with 2100# plate @ $325 per kit.

I looked at URD but they didn't list clutches for 1st gens. Do 2nd gen clutches fit 1st gens?

I had looked at other tacoma forums which shall remain nameless but start with the letter "T" and no one there had any experience with LCE, everyone just went for Marlin unquestioning what the better option is. The 2100# pressure plate sounds a bit daunting to me, I'd want more holding capacity for offroading but not a nearly 3x the pressure plate force potentially increasing pedal feel that much.

I used that exact same input in their search and found nothing.... friggin internet. Also I'm looking for a 4cyl but as far as LCE and Marlin are concerned they're the same offerings and same ratings between the two engines, just slightly different dimensions. The stage 2 URD has a 2100# plate too with a carbon/kevlar disc.

I'm running the Marlin Crawler kit. No issues so far. And like stated above, you might as well get the bushings that MC offers while you're at it.

Yeah I caved, figured no one was going to fess up to having used anything other than Marlin. Can't go wrong! I got a message today that the pilot bearings were on backorder.
