I bought my rims before ever thinking of doing the brake upgrade. But yeah I could've used my stock 16's. Although I bought my Method 16x8's w/ 4.5" of BS. And they clear the calipers without any spacers. Yeah I'm pretty sure 16's are the minimum requirement to do the brake upgrade.

HAHA! I think that's why most people get them. But hey, whatever floats your boat! It's your money.

I'll put in a vote for EBC GD7235 rotors and greenstuff pads paired with Wheelers steel braided brake lines. Great combo if you're not doing the Tundra upgrade.

So we are posting brake porn? Stoptech slotted rotors + Akebono ceramic pads. These rotors/calipers are about as big as they can be while still fitting inside a 16" wheel.

Do the green pads put off a lot of brake dust? That's what I've heard. Are the yellow ones better? Just wondering. Someone on TW had the green pads and were complaining about a lot of brake dust.

Yes the green do put off a noticeable amount of dust that I would say that's just average, nothing major at all. Well worth it IMO with the great braking power these give. I have heard, and did read that same post that the yellows do not put out as much dust, but have not tried them yet.

Even the non high carbon rotors are fine.

Cheap rotors and good pads I use oreillys brake best rotors (i think 30$ each) and either OEM or Napa Ultra Premium pads.

Yellows are more aggressive then the green and are high dust. Me and my rims an attest to this
