I would but I am completely buried and just don't have time currently. There are several other local guys that might be able to help out though. If you're not on it, check out UTOR (Utah Toyota Off Road) on Facebook and post up a request in there and you should be able to find someone that can help you.

    Sorry.

Hey man, i really dig those rims, that color makes them pop. Did you ever have any issues with your km2s balancing? ive been having some pretty bad vibes in my tacoma for some time now, and ive taken it to a few shops around town and everyone has told me my tires need to be balanced, which i've had done multiple times to no avail. i took it to a new shop today and they called and asked me if my truck sits alot, which it does for maybe 1-2 weeks max at a time. they're telling me the tires have flat spots. im at a loss man!! any suggestions?

No problem. I probably won't do them for several weeks but I'll give that group a shot. I am a member there but really don't go on social media all that much.

Talk to Noah Taylor at Tayco Fab - (801)636-9895. He is a toyota guy, local, veteran, and does great work. I am sure he could weld them on in no time if you dropped by his shop.

Never had balancing issues with mine. Flat spots can be possible if you have lower air pressure when you park the truck or if the internal carcasses are breaking down.

I never had balancing issues with my KM2 either. I did get some weird wear on my mainly due to a bad alignment I neglected to fix though.

Had contacted him several weeks back and hasn't returned the call or message. I'll try again once the sliders are in.

I've been chasing a drivetrain noise for a week or so. Was having a hard time pinning down the location. It had been sporadic but seemed to show up mainly at highway speeds while coasting in that sweet spot of coasting with no acceleration or decel load on the drivetrain. Sounded like a bearing growl. I had checked my driveshafts a couple months ago during the gear install so I didn't think it was the driveshafts. Yesterday the noise became consistent enough at all speeds while coasting so I got the truck on jackstands in the garage and put it in drive and crawled under the truck to find exactly where the noise was coming from. Turned out to be from the rear driveshaft after all. Pulled it off and check the splines and ujoints and everything felt good but the rear joint was definitely making the noise. Regreased the joint and viola! no more noise. Guess the joint had just gotten dry since the last time I checked it.

It's nice when an issue turns out to be something small and simple.

Spent a long weekend last week in St George, Utah with family. I had my wife and kids along with two of my wife's sisters and their families who are getting into Cruisers and offroad stuff. One family has a nicely built LX470 and the other has a stock FJ Cruiser. Woody had been telling us about the Sand Hollow/Sand Mountain area near St George for a while and we wanted to check it out and finally made the trip. What a cool place! Really fun trails and a variety of terrain, although mostly sandstone and sand.

We ran the West Rim trail along with a few parts of Renegade on the first day. The second day we hit Triple 7's, Milt's Mile and a little bit of TNT. All of these trails were pretty challenging for the stock FJ and he was dragging bottom a lot but made it through almost everything with a little effort. Looking forward to going back and seeing more of the area.

    Here's some pics.

This was a fun optional line.

This got a little tight. I scraped mirrors, so did the FJ. The LX took the bypass which was a pretty good ledge that we ended up having to winch him up.

I wasn't expecting the amount of sand we encountered on the trails. My BIL with the FJ has a son who came for day 2 with his Rubicon. The jeep is still stock and did well but needed more clearance.

this part of Triple 7's was quite challenging, mainly because of the soft sand and a 3' ledge all on a steep climb. I was the only one to get up this climb.

Few minor scrapes. As most of you know my flares/mirrors are plasti-dipped. Makes it easy to repair things like this. Come home, peel it off and respray it for a like-new look. Easy-peasy.

My MTR's have been through a lot since I got them. I've got side wall splits, some tread chunking but they've never lost air and still do great. Been a fantastic tire for the punishment I give them.
