Haha absolutely. That still isn't as bad as when I first went to drive the new 3rd gen Tacoma....told the salesman I had to have a 4x4...he pulls up in a TRD sport 4x2. I played along and looked at the truck. When we went to test drive it I said..."so this is 4 wheel drive?" He said Yeah here's the 4 wheel drive button...(pointed to the traction control switch) NAILED IT! Haha.

I laughed inside and politely told the gentleman that we were in a 2 wheel drive. He was very embarrassed and apologetic that he was told by his coworkers that the button with the two tire marks behind it was the 4 wheel drive button.

Felt kinda bad for him really. Seems the coworkers took advantage of his lack of knowledge.

Yeah...I could see him looking for the "sky hooks" on construction sites, buckets of "steam" in restaurants, and hose stretchers at the fire department. Lol

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
when i bought mine, the salesman didnt even know the right name for the color. no experience needed for that.

Haha, I'll have to say...my first job was as the dishwasher for Joes ice cream parlor in easley...first night on the job the cook asked me (in the middle of the dinner rush) to go to the freezer and get a box of steam out of the freezer. :anonymous:

Yes I went and looked for it....then realized I was an idiot. Haha.

make it up to her? did you cancel it?
this is a good learning exercise that life isn't always fair. Hey I am all for doing the best for my kids. but this is also not a popularity contest. this is a perfect opportunity to show things don't always go as planned. she can be mad but not at you, it's not you fault scott.

    Thank you!

Just make sure when you place that patch that the arrow is pointed to about 45 degrees. ;-)

This sort of happened to me with the Prerunner. I asked the salesman if a button was for the locking diff and he said yeah. Turns out my truck doesn't have the rear locker. My fault for not being better informed, but foul for him just feeding me some shit.
