Today being the Special Shaped day at the Balloon Fiasco, and where I work being directly across the street from the Balloon Park, the plant gives us free breakfast burritos in the morning and lets us out to watch the shapes. Not the best Burrito, but hey, it's free. :notsure:

Just bought a 04 Tacoma from the east coast. Anyone know of a good shop to do a good check up to see what needs to be done to her??

Abq members, just a heads up. I started up my truck this morning and noticed my tank was on empty, when it should have been about 3/4 full. So I get out to check that everything is ok and it looks like someone drilled into the tank and stole the gas! I think tacos are targeted this way from time to time, so beware. I live in the uptown area, and this is the third time people have messed with my truck in less than two years of owning it. Sucks I have to park it in the street because it won't fit in my garage.

I put a locking gas cap on and put a sabellco lock on. I also have my 9mm sized protection device. It's been 5-6 years but I was almost carjacked getting off the interstate at san mateo.
Idiot stuck his hand in my window and tried to grab whatever he thought he could get, He got my knife in his face.

speaking of thieves... FJ was broken into while I was out on the trail at Pine Flats today. Smash and grab, grabbing an empty camelback with a UofA t-shirt, first aid kit and my survival bag. A good small bit of destruction and a headache for me, all for a bunch of nothing.

Bernalillo Sheriff's Dept met me 15 minutes after I called to file a report. Very impressed with the response. Doubt they'll catch the perps but one can hope.

A nuisance compared to what you went through. I'm reading through my policy to see if it is even worth involving State Farm. $500 deductible, if it applies, probably not worth the hassle.

All depends on if you want Toyota glass and the price if it. The glass prices are all over the place. When we replaced the small triangle window on our 4Runner it was cheaper to buy Toyota glass than any of the generic ones. But windshields, Toyota wanted like $1200, and we found one for $300 at safelite.

@tomtom shop around. when I did window tint at my dealership and we would replace glass on used cars with mostly generic glass (Cheapest usually) we used horizon auto glass. When I had my Chevy I was able to get my windshield installed for 128$

I've had good experiences at Horizon. Figure I'll give them a call in the morning.
