Awesome. I've met Don Gartlets and Pat Musi at Maple Grove Raceway when I was a kid. Pat Musi was kind of a dick. DOM was cool as they come. I've grown up around muscle cars and 1/4 mile cars my whole life. I hope this thread grows. I just went to a show yesterday full of tri-5 Chevys, Challengers, Cudas, Mustangs and a Plymouth Superbird.

I have been going to races since I was about 10 when my Dad started taking to Gainsville raceway in the early 70's.....I actually lived about 2 blocks over from Don "Big Daddy" Garlits in Senffer Fl....used to watch him do burn outs in his driveway...

Atlanta dragway is 1/2 hour away, but I can't swing the $85 ticket price. I was an avid follower as a kid, rooting for Eddie Hill, Joe Amato, Don Prudhomme, Shirley Muldowney, Al Hoffman, and Kenny Bernstein. Never was a john Force fan. I spent my weekend at the local drags as a kid from the mid '80s-mid '90s. I'd love to go sometime, if I happen upon a discounted ticket.

Wow when I lived in Atlanta from 99-2007 I never paid more then $52 for GA started out @ $40 in 99.......
