Maybe, I had mine plastidipped, thats why i went inside with them. Have since un-dipped (de-dipped?, anti-dipped?, quasi-pseudo nah dipped?). I may allow therm to clinch them on the outside next time to see if they stay on longer

Since I had mine rebalanced with clinch weights, I've been in the mud about 4 times, drove in a monsoon rain storm, rotated tires once, and we had a few days of upper 90 degree weather. Still PERFECT balance. No weights fell off.

i was underimpressed with wet weather traction and the treadwear...I am much more impressed with the traction and wear from the BFG T/A KO2

FWIW, clinch weights destroyed my factory alloys. Every wheel is peeling around the areas that they were installed over the years. I'm not sure how you can prevent this. My wheels were cleaned regularly. I think the powder coating is just weak.

I have those little sticky weights on the wheel's inner barrel face. I get my tires at Discount, and like someone else said I have my tires rotated/balanced every 5k.

My 265/75r16 C's I currently have at 40/36, which gets up to 42/38'ish at operating temp. This seemed to do well with the chalk test for my own vehicle, and it gives good road feel/handling IMHO.

I've hadn't the duratracs for about 3 years now and 30k on them. Treadwear is good and even.

Only downside I've had is off-road traction and like mentioned above, wet weather. ( I was used to the performance of grabber red labels tho, which were great off-road)

I'd buy them again, but I hate buying the same tire twice unless I'm absolutely in love with them all around...

Another happy customer here. I've had em for 3 years and still pretty impressive amount of tread left. Will most likely buy again

I have 265/75R16's E's and I've been running them super low (all city driving, rarely over 70kph) I happily putted around with 28psi, but the cold brought them down to 25.

Going on a highway trip tomorrow and set them to 30psi cold, should have them warm up to 32psi on the drive.

I always found after driving through my dusty alley looking at my tires there is zero wear on the outter edges. So I keepem low.

    Same here...

I'm running around the 30-32psi range and they are wearing great...

    Nice and even.

We drove 344 miles of interstate hwy today, with 22 miles of bone dry dusty trails

"E"'s a much more rigid tire....They don't need as much pressure. I do a LOT of long distance interstate driving and gas mileage is important. So "C"'s with adequate pressure is the best way for what I do with 'em. (345 mile road trip yesterday....Low fuel light came on just as I hit the driveway.....I'll take that!)

When off road, which is fairly frequently, I air down to 16psi. I've got a CO2 inflation rig, and ARB deflation kit. Quick and easy!

Very difficult to balance it seems. Phenomenal on snow and mud. Scary bad on wet roads. Put 50k on them in 3 or so years, not so loud at the beginning, but after about 30k they started getting loud. Now at 50k you can hear them over the radio at full blast. Still decent tread left but replacing with different tires this week since they are now scary to drive in the rain and have kicked out on my recently on dry, I assume due to their age.

Also, very attractive tire, gives the truck a great look.

I've been looking at the duratrac as a replacement for the terra grapplers i'm running now...looking at my receipt for the "tg's",i got them @ 43,500,i'm beyond 113,000 right now.i'm real easy on my truck..so they've been relegated to city/freeway type duty..today's not my "math-day"but that's a bunch of miles, had it not been for a slight "needed toe adjustment" the outer edges would still be good and have suitable wear left for a couple thousand more miles..so why change???,these tires have always been a bit "suspect"in one area...wet freeway, other than that they were/are great as a "city tire",I don't expect my routes to change anytime soon, with that...I have no clue as to handeling charateristics of the duratracs..and maybe even the "tg-g2" might be better in the wet..this is my 2nd prerunner, prior to that I was mostly into "autocross/slalom" in the late 70's thru late 80's..this is where I started to realize the importance of those 4 skinny little patches of rubber...i'm running 5100's on stock sport coils(.85)tsb leafs with 5100's rear..i don't have a problem sticking with the 265-65-17 in either tire(my current setup)cause I know they will fit..my wheels are 17x8,4.5 bs..,i know an "A/T"tire is not the best choice, considering my driving habits,i'd appreciate any helpful opinions,

Anyone running 255/75/17 sized tires with these? I'd be interested in seeing pictures and getting your input. I am looking at putting these on 17" TRD SEMA wheels with a 2.5" lift kit.

    Thanks in advance!

I've got a set of 285/75 16s sitting in my buddy's shop back at home in Tennessee. 16k on them and ready for a new owner. I went back to ST MAXX, was never impressed with the DuraTracs, especially in snow and wet.

Your rig looks awesome with the Wrangler Duratrac tires. I have the same tires but in 265/75/16 but looking into upgrading to 285/75/16. Have you had issues with rubbing at all at full lock or when off roading?
