Hi I am stationed in Oklahoma and trying to find some trails to go on. I heard about the K trail and wanted to know if anyone has tried it yet? Or if any one will want to try the trail?

I would like to try it at some point. I've seen a couple videos from there on YouTube. I did hear a year or so ago that someone had dumped nails or something similar in some of the mud holes.

I'm thinking about heading out to Keystone and play out there for a bit this evening.

Thanks, ended up looking it up today, looks like a fun trail, but it's about a 5hr drive for me. May may it a camping trip someday.

Yes there was a plate with metal spikes welded to it and dumped in a big mud hole. It's gone now. If you have never been to that part of the state, it's an awesome place. I really enjoy the area. May end up buying some land down there.

That said I've been told on several accounts to watch your self down there. There are some.......interesting people when you get off the main roads. I've read of a few issues, but nothing major. I wouldn't suggest going Solo though.

The western half is more technical, but the eastern half has the fire tower most people camp at. It would be a good time of the year to go. Just watch out for big foot........no really he lives there, I've seen the road sign.

There are always trips going out. Check out on-torc on facespace. Also overlandguild.com. they have a hand full of trips to the k trail and Ozark area. Im.out of commission till probably late spring, but may be interested in a trip.

I'm looking to run that trail. November/December with a group don't have a date yet. You might get some trail pin striping

I don't have my Tacoma anymore but I have been looking into this trail, thinking about planning a weekend trip, maybe in February. I know its a long way off, but would anyone be down to go?

Beach with no water.....Ive been there a time or 2 got an email a couple weeks ago asking me to go back as a contractor. great money but I'm good. between my kiddo and the current world climate, I'm good with the time I have over there already.

I didn't make it to sundog, had a slight oversight in my life. but we will have to set something up

Dan, be careful if you haven't gone yet. Now is the time you would see an issue (if any). The trail separates leased/owned hunting land on either side. They get really defensive about people driving through and messing that up. The east side is fun, but ya, not much going on. Just a cruise through the evergreens. The west side is fun, but nothing truly amazing. Both are worth it to mark it off the list.

Below is from the east side where the pin-striping will be bad. West side has heavier branches, but not quite as constant.
