Location is key. It's much easier to put yourself where the ducks are going anyway, than to try to convince a duck to come to where you are.

Fajitas are the best way to eat ducks. All the strong flavors mask the strong taste of the meat perfectly. Mallards gads woodies and teal are my favorite to eat.
Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT eat a
Merganser. Or do, and you'll understand why I said that. Ha ha.

Also, Canada Geese rather than "Canadian" ;)

    Good luck.

my buddy says the best way is to split a pepper, fill one half with cream cheese, the other with duck, wrap with bacon and grill. anyone try this?

I think Geese are pretty good, slice a breast open creating a little pocket, stuff it with cream cheese and Jalapeno, grill it
Geese are nice because they are a bigger prize, then tend to make your dogs eyes get bigger when retrieving them

Snow geese are awesome if you like rare steak. Rub a snow goose breast with a little oil, S&P, then sear over super high heat and leave it really rare. Super rich and delicious. I can eat a 16 oz ribeye and look around for more, but duck or goose is much more intense and a little goes a long way. Cook them too long and they turn into liver, which is where most people fail. A duck breast that is gray all the way through is inedible to me.

Got this puppy brushed in yesterday afternoon. It's my most productive blind. Also has a full kitchen and leather reclining couch. :D Now we wait for the water to come...

Not looking like it, same as last year. Sad to say I only hunted one day last year, this year is not looking much better.
I guess that its good that business is that busy but I would like to find some more time to do the things I love. Right now I'm just putting in my time at work, hoping it pays off in the long run.

Crazy to see how big the company has grown in the past few years, hopefully you'll be able to find sometime this year to get one or two hunts in. Work has limited me to only weekends now and I'm 0/2 on draws this season so hopefully we can find some place tomorrow to setup for next weekend

Anyone kill ducks on the opener? We hunted public and ended up short of a limit. The flury lasted until about 8:30 and died off didn't even have birds look at our decoys for the rest of the time.

I can't find any details on it besides on the press release of there partnership with Tony Vandemore they mentioned debuting a new show or something with the release of a new gun.

    Anyone else heard of anything?

Also pulled pill 101 opening weekend!( that's second pick for that day)Didn't kill our limit but we couldn't shoot worth a crap. We missed....alot.

They don't need any new guns lol its probably just a modified version of an already existing gun they own. I own a SBE2 and my next purchase will be a M2 in 3".

I've tried forever to shoot a hoodie, but always come up short.... I have a friend who only feeds her dogs a raw diet, so this year I'm shooting mergansers and other divers for her dogs!!

That's about all they're good for. Ha ha.

They are fun to hunt. They absolutely love motion decoys.
