Well I have been having a popping noise in my front suspension I wonder if the 1/4 spacers are the culprit?

Most likely a CV axle or ball joint. Is it when you turn, or only when your suspension travels, or both?

Actually just when I back up, just a single pop then goes away. Does it when it sits overnight like something compresses.

Yea, I think that's something in the drive shaft maybe? My truck did it for a while when switching between forward and reverse but it went away.

Double check those u-joints in your drive shaft very carefully. Odds are if you had a bad one, you'd get driveline vibes anyways.

CV's are a common culprit. Are they originals? How old? Same with the ball joints... how old? How much wheeling do you do? Also, what kind of lift are you running?

2014 with 32k, full OME kit with 886's, wheeled pretty hard once and the rest just to deer camp. Everything was put new 12k ago. I've checked my cvs with little play or any at all. I've also greased my U joints.

Hard to say. It's an issue I'm currently dealing with myself. Replacing a few things in a couple weeks (full LCA, UCA bushings, new CV's, new hub bearings) as everything else has been replaced.

Also check that your shocks are lined up perfectly. That rubber spring rest at the top of the spring needs to be in straight and not bulging out anywhere or it puts lateral pressure on the shock and misaligns it. That definitely causes popping sounds and sometimes scraping.

I'll recheck everything and retorque, let me know if your issue goes away after you replace your things.

FYI, mine happens when I'm turning the wheel especially when sitting in Park or when slowly backing out of my driveway. It doesn't happen when I'm driving at street or highway speeds. Slow turns in parking lots, especially sharper ones, does it as well. I don't get the popping when I go over speedbumps or obstacles. I even replaced the entire steering rack and tie rods, as well as having done other changes. By the time I'm done, I'll have everything new or no older than 6 months.

My truck does have 216,000 miles on it and is 10 years old, so I have more wear and tear to deal with than you do. At least I live in a dry climate and don't have corrosion at all.

Yup mine does the same, I wonder if it's the ome shocks. I got some bilsteins with 886's I might swap them and see if it does the same

Mine definitely isn't that. It's almost a popping sound (like 3 or 4 at a time) when turning the wheel.

You don't. It's just a slight play in our brake pads and is completely normal and harmless. It's a single click sound, anyways - never a true full popping noise.

i experienced a "popping" after installing the rear half of my OME full lift kit. i could only guess it was a drive line or brake noise. it went away after a few weeks and am currently in the process of completing the OME lift on the front.
