Selling truck financed through Toyota Financial

Hi everyone- anyone sell their truck that was financed through Toyota Financial at the time of sale? How did you transfer the title to the new owner?

I've only sold trucks that were financed through a local credit union, so it was easy to just have the buyer meet me at the CU and finish the transaction there and have the buyer leave with the title in hand.

They get a check and release the title to the new owner just like everybody else does.

But.. if you want to know what they do, ask them.

 

Asking the actual holder of the paper is a better move than asking a faceless crowd of internet loonies.

Are you selling to a dealer or private party?

 

I'd prefer private vs trade in so I can get more money towards the new truck. Been trying to make the access cab work with a newborn, but not being able to have a passenger upfront is getting old!

 

You won't get the title until the check clears and the truck is paid off.
