I have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma, 2WD, automatic trans, 4.0L V6. I've searched the internet and other Toyota forums for an answer but I can't find one. I think I know the answer but want to be 100% positive. I took my battery out about a month ago. I didn't expect it to be sit that long, but priorities changed. I've put it back together except for the battery positive wiring. I've got an extra wire. The engine compartment fuse block has a 9" long heavy wire (maybe 4 ga) that's "left over". Does this wire bolt to the positive post battery connector?

    Thanks for your help.

Since the negative is hooked to the truck there's usually no point in running an extra wire to the negative, so logically it goes to the positive. As always Your Mileage May Vary.

Sorry I didn't get any pictures but I've been having camera problems. The black 9" wire is the engine compartment positive fuse block wire.

    Thanks
