Hey what's up guys, so I just bought my 96 taco, runs so smooth but recently when I turn the ignition it cranks forever before it actually starts. Sometimes it won't start either. I'll literally wait like a few minutes before trying again. It will eventually start but like I said it cranks for a long time. Any ideas? Starter related or is it more than that?

I could be wrong but it was a fuel pump relay on a truck I had long ago. Another truck was the negative ground wire on the frame; cleaned it up and it started like it was never f'd up

I wish I was more vehicle inclined. I hate taking my cars to mechanics for something I could fix myself. I just wouldn't know where to start. I bought spark plugs just in case it was that. Gonna try and change them out tomorrow. I'll also test my batter like u said

Before you change the plugs... see if they'll tighten up (to see if they were indeed loose and causing low compression) Then change the plugs

Don't over tighten the new plugs... snug 'em down real nice and you'll be set in that department, at least. I'll keep an eye on your progress!
