    Yeah, my dad said they are having a political battle for the aviation unit right now. I guess they are putting up a bond measure to fund the department, rather than out of the general fund.

    That is the only full-time unit in the region, so would be a shame to lose it, especially with the rescues they need at elevation!

    How the hell have I not seen this thread before?! I remember the first and only time in a helicopter and strapped to a back board. Was in an accident and had to be flown to the trauma center. Not exactly how I wanted the first time to go for a ride.
