I've got a smoking hot girlfriend. She lives in Canada, I met her on vacation. She gives it up all the time. In a week or so, I'll start a thread with a picture of her. I just don't have any right now. But trust me, SHE IS HOT.

Take it out into a field and play with it. Not difficult. Get accustomed to the jerkiness it can have to make a turn. Use 4hi and 4lo. Learn the sounds it makes. 4lo can make you think everything is broken sometimes but can be normal

Everyone has their 1st. Pay no attention to the trolls. I commend you for asking for advice

I've had many. I don't off road much anymore, rarely go onto dirt roads

Why do I have still have a 4x4? Because I live in the south when 5" of rain can fall in minutes. I drive about 50,000 miles a year so it's a safety feature to me during times I feel it's needed not to hydroplane. Read the manual to what the max speed is in 4hi. Stay to it

Also remember..... 4 wheel go does not mean 4 wheel stop

Best advice on this thread yet. Especially the 4 wheel stop part. I worked in Amarillo for a year. Our office was at the corner of interstate 40 and a stop light for the exit ramp that stopped at the bottom of a hill. Every day there was ice on the ground, a person driving a 4wd would slide through the stop light and end up in our parking lot, if they missed the cross traffic. It was entertaining. People in 2wd vehicles didn't do it nearly as much.

And there's my main reason for the 4x4. Fuck me though for wanting my first truck to be as nice and versatile as possible right? Guess I wasn't lucky enough to be born with the instant 4x4 knowledge. Thanks again to all those that helped! I figured a few trolls would come out but whatever, I love my new truck and look forward to using all the features.

Oh, on a side note I'd like to learn to play the guitar but based on some peoples advice I should not get one unless I already know how to play it. Anyone have ideas on how to learn to use something without actually practicing with it? Maybe I could get a blow up version of one and learn that way. Kinda like they did to learn about female anatomy.

My advice for what it is worth... take that 4x4 out and use it. From DFW, there is an offroad park just over an hour away in Bridgeport. Do it once and you may find a whole new reason for having a 4x4. They. Are. Fun.

side note: do not go by yourself, go with someone experienced. You should have no problem finding guys on here that want to go.
