Hey guys front suspension question. Im going mid travel on my tacoma soon, and down the road i want long travel. My question is what coilovers should i buy? Im leaning toward fox rr dsc, but i dont know what length. 8" stroke?

First ill be using TC uca's then later on get the lca's and ect. But i dont want to rebuy coilovers when i put on the lower arms.

My buddy had icons on his mid travel then had to buy kings when going long travel. Im trying to avoid that.

 

You can't use MT arms for a LT setup. If you buy MT you'll have to buy again if upgrading to LT

 

Going from MT to LT requires all new arms (UCA and LCA) along with LT specific coil overs.

 

Unless you just rebuild your coilovers and convert them to 8" stroke. I'm lookin' at you @12TRDTacoma

 

Welp my questions are answered.
Im not even gonna bother with MT now.
Things just doubled in price.

If i buy the TC LT kit, which coilovers do you guys reccomend? I will be adding some bypass shocks later on.

Honestly im leaning toward fox for the singular reason that they look cooler than kings. I know you can get another color besides blue for kings but ehhh.

 

You will have to buy new shocks when you go from Mid to LT. Without a bunch of fab work it wont work.

 

They all work the same, pick your favorite color.

 

Avoid FOA and sway a way

FOA because seals and machining isn't optimal

SAW because AFE

 

The only false thing I have ever seen you post Anthony. SAW is good. I have beat the living SHIT out of mine, and they keep on truckin' on.

 

No problem! 8" bodies, and 8" stroke shafts... good to go!
