Hahaha. It really is a nice thing to have. Check out frontrunner tanks. They have everything from large universal tanks to truck rear seat footwell tanks too slim upright tanks. They have some awesome designs!

Interesting. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should redo my rear crossmembers to fit a tank under the bed...and how big of a tank do I want

Thats what i really want to do ultimately. Since i have a tire gate now im no longer using any of the stock spare tire space under the bed. Building a custom aluminum reservoir under there with a skid plate and plumb it directly into this kit. Only down side is putting that much weight on the far rear end. Thats why i like the front runner slim tank linked above because 1 it moves weight more towards center mass of the truck and helps your rear suspension and load distribution 2 its design minimizes if not eliminates sloshing 3 it takes up hardly any usable space at all and 4 its easily removeable if needed. Just more things to consider. Though

yeah I don't think I have room right there because of my bedcage. But I think one that's custom fit behind my crossmembers would prob be about 10 gallons or so. Gotta see if I can get someone to work some aluminum for me :D

Adding this to the giant box of parts for my onboard water. This thing is big, I'll tell you what.

And hey, for the record, any of you that are on the fence about buying this kit from @ProForce, Ill say this after running the numbers, you might be able to source this kit for a hair less, but thats after hours of research and then having to put everything together. After ordering an upgraded pump and an accumulator and all the extra parts and now looking in to tanks, I realize I've fallen down an even bigger rabbit hole lol. Do yourself a favor and just order his kit lol. The plus side is if you install it and later down the road decide you want to upgrade, you could probably just buy a larger output pump and be Good to Go!

@VolcomTacoma that pump runs 1/2" outputs huh? Be sure to run matching intake line. A pump of that size with not be happy if starved for water. You can slightly downsize buy having tested a pump with 1/2" line myself i can tell you they need the supply. Also, consider that as well when picking out a strainer and using quick connects. Those parts use 1/4" fittings so even if your input is the full 1/2" itll be a choke point whenever water passes through a connection. This will make your pump louder, less efficient, lower output then it's rated for, and reduce pump life. You'll wanna keep that entire setup to 1/2" garden hose type connections including the hose itself

Yessir, not to worry! I'm a mechanic/operator by trade haha. Everything is 1/2" with 1/2" fittings. No choke points haha. Like I said before, you created a monster, now Im looking in to chopping my exisiting crossmember so I can fit a 10 or 20 gallon tank between the frame rails lol. Obviously I'd only keep it filled when Im overlanding, since I dont want all the extra weight when blasting around Pismo

Uh, I'd have to look to be honest. That was after a couple hours of looking through pumps and checking reviews nonstop.

OP, in the very first picture of your first post. The yellow coil hose for the sprayer. Between the quick disconnect and the end of the hose, is a funny looking fitting.

I do not see that fitting anywhere else in the pictures. What is it?

Good catch! It's swivel adapter for an air line that i experimented with on my kit originally. I had a concern of the hose line kinking since it's pointed towards the cab but will typically by held from near the tailgate. After pretty extensive testing though, the hoses natural curve, rigidity, and the anti kink spring in it prevented it from ever being an issue on any of the kits i built. It was an 8$ part from lowes but since it really served no purpose after all, i left it out of production models

It's meant to be installed on air tools so that it makes it easier to use without fighting with your air line. Pretty neat little adapter though. Anyone can add it if they wanted too, but just be sure tonuse plumbers tape on the threads. No additional parts would be required if it was added

On that first picture youll also notice my hose is on the bottom and pickup line on top. I did this because i feed water from my rotopax above it. But in every other install and in most cases, water will be sourced from below. So the directiond have those connections flipped to the pick up line is on the bottom and hose is on top. Also something that can be modified at time of install if desired.
