If your end up fabbing up one can I get the specs/pics? On my 07 the battery movement cracked alot of sheet metal and eventually the tie down was compromised. The battery was jumping around and I didn't realise til the post came loose and my headlights were flickering. Big hassle!

When my starting battery crapped out last year I put in a smaller, lighter, battery. It actually had higher CCA than stock, but less reserve.

Damn. A factor not even related to what we did and definitely not a normal issue to have for those that have the stock rear bedsides. Glad you figured it out. Mine is still there. Just lazy to touch it for now. Steering is fixed so at least I can drown out those little clunks with music.

This right here is honestly the best solution for the battery on any Tacoma that gets wheeled or ran through shitty roads period.

    Haha

I use abuse and replace as necessary.

I've had a good track record with them, have 4 in service right now. :). For wet cell, I recommend.

    lol

Not surprised that same bushing ripped, am surprised that same parts were used on 2016 since someone reported that the ES kit didn't fit 2016. Maybe it's the cab mounts that are different on 2016?

Unsure, lately the closest I've got to a Third Gen was on the highway right before I pass them swiftly. (Regardless if they want me to or even try to keep up  )

I'm going to do it sometime this winter. It will probably be more along the line of what Volcom suggested above. Too many mods and upgrades to do and to little time. But I will probably move this higher up the list in priority as I was (am) really hacked off that a low mileage truck had this problem.

the front bushings went in no problem. the flanges for the body mounts did not work. the 3rd gen bolt holes are further apart. but after we made new flanges, everything else seems to be working good.

Yep, replaced mine with just over 11k miles and they were already blown out. Eliminated the clicking noise I had out of the front end. Now at almost 40k and the ES bushings are still in almost brand new shape!

    Jim,

You're welcome. I hope I didn't give you the impression you need new bolts though. I'd only replace those if badly corroded, which is a distinct possibility given the poor plating choice on the bolt.

Toyota does specify new locking-nuts for the job. The radiator locking nuts are part number: 90177-A0010

Thanks Nick, I also picked up two Locking Nuts. I'll see what condition my originals are in and these will be on hand if I need them. Thanks Again.

I'm assuming the shroud moved up so the can was hitting the bottom of the shroud? I already did the cab bushings replacement and just got the radiator bushings to do these... But I'm already rubbing tyre can at Bottom of shroud at stock and had to do some trimming there...
